I was kinda thinking...

it might be neat to have a member list. 👀

You know, so you can see very easily who is a member, how long they've been a member, their recent posts, etc. All that stuff you have to do a search to find the member to get answers to would be in an easily available list.

What do ya think?

A question directed towards the Phone Scoop moderators

What is the currently platform the moderators subscribe to regarding Phone Scoop forum thread postings entirely in binary code? The reason I ask is I see expectpwnage started the whole binary code posting with

https://www.phonescoop.com/forums/forum.php?fm=m&ff= ... »

which I personally don't feel should be an issue since the following site

http://www.roubaixinteractive.com/PlayGround/Binary_ ... »

easily allows converstion from binary code to ASCII and vice versa.

Question

I posted a reply that was " 😲 " to something, then tried to do that same thing and gave me an error message. Rich, Eric, why can't you post something more than once?

Rating System

Have you guys ever thought of adding a rating system to the forums. Something similiar to you tube's rating system. I think this would make posting a little more fun

Phone review suggestion

I apologize if this has been brought up before, but would it be possible to have the person writing their review to select which carrier that they are using - assuming that the phone is carried by multiple carriers? For example the new RAZR2 v9m is going to be carried by at least 5 different carriers and it would be interesting to see if there are different quality reviews for different carriers.

Form factor terminologies

I think the term "candy bar" is somewhat disparaging, implying that the phone is a toy or childish. For those of us who prefer one-piece (uh, "candy bar") phones, a major plus to them is that they have no moving parts or mechanical joints. As we all know, anywhere there is a mechanical joint, there is an increased potential for failure. If it was up to me, phones that are not of one-piece construction would be given a disparaging term (think: "flimsy" as opposed to "solid").

Furthermore, using the terms "bar" and "candy bar" to describe one-piece phones is only partially accurate: only certain types of candy bars (Hershey, Nestle Crunch) have the thin rectangular cross section that is typical of mobile phones. I have not see...

All reviews are frustrating

😕 I have a simple question to all who are listening. Does anyone else find all of these reviews as frustrating as I do? For as many positive things someone may say about a particular phone, there are just as many negative reviews of that same phone. True, the info some share about features of a phone etc. can be helpful, but overall it all comes down to personal opinion. And as I have always been told, "Opinion's are like armpits, everyone's got one, and they all stink!". I was told about this website by a VZW sales person as a means to make an informed decision about purchasing a new phone. Unfortunately, other than looking up specs about a phone (which I can get from my providers site), I find it almost useless because of the cons...

Shop Talk Trolls...

Hey guys, I'm by no means a regular of this specific forum, but we've got a small problem over in shop talk.

There is a thread entitled grrrr... that's fairly useless. Basically looks like a bunch of useless trolling by people with too much time on thier hands. I was wondering if one of the moderators could check that out?

There's also the "Aw Hell" thread that raycarrol keeps posting in every single forum. It's pretty much a pile of flamebait.

Just figured I'd give you guys a heads up.

quick question

Is there no way to have an IP banned? Having users break whatever rule "a" and then just re-register is pretty lame and defeats the purpose.

Forum Disruption

I find it very disruptive when people change the subject line when they post a reply it ruins the post for the most part. It makes it impossible to tell what the original post is about, on top of being extremely annoying. Aren't their administrators that can stop this disruptive behavior? I know I am not the only one that wants this to stop.

Poor sports

Since when is using a joke to say someone has put their foot in their mouth considered a violation of the TOS.

You folks sure are selective in enforcing that TOS out there.
