I've heard from many Verizon users that after they got the Kyocera Slider they didn't like it. I've heard that when the battery dies and you really need to use the phone, you can't CHARGE & TALK, because the phone uses more power than the charger is putting in it, if so that sucks.

we just recieved a shimpment in of 5550's and they look pretty cool. Hope they don't have the same problems the 3100a has (being stuck on analog). Its basically a vx-4600 thats silver and burdundy. I just hope it sells. It's a lot better phone than that 3587i.

I have used cell service since 1986, and Alltel is, by far, the absolute worst compamny I have ever had the misfortune of using. Not only is their coverage horrible in KS and NE, but, I think that the CUSTOMER SERVICE, or lack thereof, is equally as bad. I have had the head sales exec in Salina, KS, tell me something on the phone, and not back up his words. That sort of thing happened all the time with me. They want one thing: Your dollar, and they care at ALL about your satisfaction. I could get better results from two tin cans and a piece of string. 👿 👿 👿 😡 😡

Okay Heres the thing I currently have the LG 5450 on the alltel network and i have the 1,000 mins and unlim. night / weekend.. I went over my mins this month.. should I keep this phone.. or go with crickets new plan.. unlimited local and long distance mins.. and get the new AUDIOVOX 8900 Phone?

I use a Palm TE OS5.1 and like the Alltel Kyocera 7135 but it has Palm OS 4.1 and is about 1.5 year old Technology.

What is Alltel going to offer to replace this model (Treo 600???) and when will it be released?

I have a good buy ($320.00 & no contract) on a new Kyocera 7135 but want to stay on the tech edge. Should I wait?

Um, which phone comes with Alltel's Prepaid plan? Can you pick whichever phone you want? If so, do you have to pay the full price of the phone? Thanks.

If I have a LG VX6000 can I use it with Alltel?

The verdict is in, and the LG 5550 is now available, and is coming in Red. Hopefully LG keeps up with stock on this one, not like the 3100 and 5450 as of late.

Anybody in South or Western Wisconsin care to tell my how the reception is? I am a current US Cellular customer who's contract is about to expire. USCC's reception is really kicks butt here (they have about 10 towers in my area- Alltel has 2), but the coverage areas leave a lot to be desired. I am really interested in the National Freedom plan so I can go pretty much anywhere with nights and weekends, etc. The dealers tell me that my reception will be better than what I currently have with USCC because Alltel uses their towers. I asked if the prl's are set up to look for Alltel signal first and then go to the next one on the list, and the dealers tell me "they will use everybody's towers". Didn't really answer my question. WARNING... long post here, but it takes me awhile to describe my issue.. the phone is an lg 5450 on alltels service...owners manual is of no use...but for the life of me I cant figure out where to stick the charger..
