replacement phone

I am an AT&T customer with 5 months to go on a 2 year contract. My Nokia 3360 is on its last legs and will never make it to the end of my commitment-screen goes blank or fuzzy & calls dropped frequently. Obviously I'm disappointed with its lack of durability. Overall I'm satisfied with AT&T service, so I have no big problem renewing my contract. My question is, which of the phones being offered is the best deal for me. I don't care about the bells and whistles. My most important considerations are ability to hold up for 2 years, signal, screen visibility and overall sturdy construction. Reviews seem to favor the Motorola v120t, but AT&T no longer offers it free for a 2 year commitment. Any recommendations? Is now a good time to commit...

Motorola C353

Has anyone used the Motorola C353 yet? I've been trying to get some customers to buy it but they all went for the 2260 ☹️ Nice pricing though with a 2yr contract. Basically free with the right promos if available. So how is the reception? And yes I know reception is not perfect everywhere. I actually told a customer "Sir I know AT&T Wireless does not have the best network" My supervisor got VERY mad at me for saying that. I can't blame him just was funny 😁 So how is it people?

buy AWS stock .

Source: RCR Wireless News

AT&T Wireless has become the center of a new wave of merger rumors and reports. Most speculation has focused on the possibility of Cingular buying the company. But more recent reports point to other potential buyers, including NTT DoCoMo, Nextel, and Vodafone. NTT DoCoMo already owns 15 percent of AT&T Wireless. Vodafone currently owns a large stake in Verizon Wireless, but AT&T's GSM technology would be a better fit with Vodafone's international networks and global plans. Another report indicates that AT&T Wireless has already hired Merrill Lynch & Co. to arrange the merger or sale.
how would Nextel afford to buy AWS,i dont think so.as for Vodaphone they own like 35% or so...

What's the deal with AT&T GSM CS??

I recently terminated service with AT&TW as I would no longer tolerate waiting on hold for an hour to speak with a CS agent, and their inability to resolve any minor billing issues. 👿

I was very impressed with the selection of phones that AT&TW offered to their customers wanting GSM service; however, there were a few things that irked me (particularly with their M-Mode service...expensive for what you get). The question is, will AT&TW get their act together and focus on their CS? They have seemed to have lost their way on that aspect of their business plan, or maybe it wasn’t a part of it.

New N/W Times!!!

I don't have the official training until Tuesday morning, but my supervisor informed me today that starting 01/10/04, AWS will begin offering 7pm start times for n/w minutes at a monthly cost of $7.99/month on ANY rate plan.

Also, on ANY rate plan $59.99 and HIGHER (including DOR), the 7pm start time is FREE!!!!

This is all the information I had. Can anyone that has gone thru the January combined training add any information, or clarify the info I provided? Are there restrictions or contract requirements?

Where is everyone?

I know it might be saturday night, but I'm sure I'm not the only person who doesn't want to go into the freezing cold!
I have read several magazines today and they were: consumers report, laptop mobility and the New York Times.
And they all said that ATTWS and Cingular are the most likely to have the greatest loss due to people going to other carriers.
As a matter of fact, these two companies had double the percentages, compare to the carriers who in single digits.
Though I am a ATTWS customer at this time, and my cintract is over now, I'm free to go.
I have been checking out all the forums, and this forum(ATTWS) has the most pissed off people of all the forums combined.
So that seems to me that a lot of people don't...

4th Quarter Earnings Report

Has anyone heard about when AWS is going to announce the 4th quarter report? It's usually on the web site and occurs towards EOM following the end of a quarter.

Anybody else in CC....

...having what little enjoyment you might be able to glean from the job ripped and violated from you by this new insistance on PCO?

Just asking. I was having a damn fine day at work (which is rare) until their "action plan" sheet came around, and I nearly cold-****ed a team member.

God I hate that.

CSA Change

I now understand why some customers are angry when they finally reach us. i have been trying to fix a problem for a customer since last night. i had to stop and go home then start again today. i have been on hold since 530 and its now ll03 this is insane. if you have to do a csa change i pity you and i apologize to anyone who has been cold transfered. reps have some compassion for the customer on this one.

Is AT&T dead?

I've been through a week of hell since switching from Verizon to AT&T. I ordered my phone online and recieved it Monday. I still can't use it.

I've had a lot of issues, but today my main one has been I can't get through to get help. I've been on hold for over two hours with no answer from the tech people. This follows several other times this week where I've been on hold well over an hour to get nothing but more problems. I tried general customer service and it said due to call volumes I have to call back at a later time and hung up.

Needless to say, I hate AT&T and wish I had never switched. I'd like to cancel my service, but there's no way to do it since I can't get a person on the phone from AT&T.

No Service Areas And ETF's

Just wondering what some people think about customers moving to an area where their cell phone company doesn't have signal. Should the cust be held to the ETF or should it be lowered or should they get time off their contracts or compensation of any sort? Just wondering because I had a cust gripe at me about this and wanted to see your guys' thoughts. I personally think that the cust should have to pay the full ETF. Nobody force them to move to an area where there is no service so they brought it on themselves. I also think customers should be able to send their phone back to the company to take time off their contract, as long as the phone is in great standing and has all parts. Just a though 😁

NEC 525

😕
What do you guys think about this phone? Not sure if I wanna hold out waiting for Nokia to come out with their version of "clamshell" products. Also, what do you think about buying the phones thru ebay? This question applies to anyone! I really wanna hear what all of you folks think! What are you folks hearing from customers?

A lot of Verizon reps sure hang here. Odd.

Obviously everyone has notice a lot of Verizon reps post in here. Wouldnt it be funny if Verizon just basically paid people to come and slander other companies 😁 I know im going to get yelled at for this but meh. No skin off my back. just voicing a thought that crossed my mind. Which rarely happens so I share them when i do get them 😁 AWS isnt the best company for everyone btw. No company is the best for all. VZW isnt. NONE NADA NON!!! To each his own people. To each his own. 😁 I love lurking and reading the posts on this site.

Nokia 6820

I might just upgrade one of my Nokia phones to this bad boy if ATTWS picks it up... will they? Please say yes.

I'd trade in my 3590 or my 3650 for this bad boy... I'd still wanna keep my 6310i for backup tho ;)

Answer the phones

No wonder there are 2 hour hold times to get to customer service!! Shouldn't you people be answering the phones instead of posting all day!! DAMN 👿 👿
