What do you guys think about this phone? Not sure if I wanna hold out waiting for Nokia to come out with their version of "clamshell" products. Also, what do you think about buying the phones thru ebay? This question applies to anyone! I really wanna hear what all of you folks think! What are you folks hearing from customers?

I have sold a few phones thru eBay, and haven't had any problems. Haven't bought any however.

If you are going to buy, make sure the auction is packed with information - i.e. phone the carrier is made for, warranty status, condition, and any other pertinent info. It might also be a good idea to get some kinda insurance on the phone. I know you can get some thru Pay Pal and for shipping. The Pay Pal insurance will guarantee the product in case you don't like it and want a refund, or if the phone doesn't work because it is lost or stolen. They are the most user UNfriendly phone around. Menus are confusing to customers and are difficult to manual program (from a customer's POV)

As far as the fiasco, that's just what I call the antenna problem earlier in 2003. Antennae were falling out left and right and Motorola would only honor the warranty themselves ....which meant that customer's had to send in their phones and be w/o service - VERY INCONVENIENT. If there has been one phone that I have returned the most in the past year it's been that one.

To give credit, they have gotten better in the past 3 months, and I don't look so negative upon them, but I try to steer customer's away from them as much as I can.
