I am an AT&T customer with 5 months to go on a 2 year contract. My Nokia 3360 is on its last legs and will never make it to the end of my commitment-screen goes blank or fuzzy & calls dropped frequently. Obviously I'm disappointed with its lack of durability. Overall I'm satisfied with AT&T service, so I have no big problem renewing my contract. My question is, which of the phones being offered is the best deal for me. I don't care about the bells and whistles. My most important considerations are ability to hold up for 2 years, signal, screen visibility and overall sturdy construction. Reviews seem to favor the Motorola v120t, but AT&T no longer offers it free for a 2 year commitment. Any recommendations? Is now a good time to commit...

I appreciate your offer to help, but don't think it's a good idea to post that kind of info on an open forum. Is there another way you can help without me giving the world my acct#?
...
you could email it 2 me directly

What address? Your profile (and mine) do not allow for direct contact. In retrospect, a mistake, but there doesn't seem to be a way to revise it.
...
you just go into your acct and change it

what i meant was you can now contact me directly re phone info and i can respond to your emails privately with info you need to help me out.

How could you POSSIBLY help him by knowing this???? If he does give you this info and you look up his Account and he hasn't called in then that is grounds for termination.

again another robot following the P&P's instead of doing what is right... A sad, sad day here at AT&T. Try thinking outside the box.

While there are several phones out on the market....my recommendation would be the Nokia 3560. It is the phone that replaced the 3360. It has a lithium ion battery, color screen and is about the same size as what you have now.
It also features voice dial, a 3-minute voice recorder and the front and back plate can be replaced.
As for the 120t, I have found it, as well as the other motorola phones, to be very non-user friendly.
The Nokia 6560 or 6360 are also good choices.
All of the mentioned phones are TDMA (digital).
Hope this helps....

At&T sells phones. Probably not going to give you anything FREE. It does all depend though.
...
They'll always give the 'basic' unit for free with a contract renewal. Hint of advice though, only renew one year, NOT two. You won't gain anything more from a two-year agreement.
...
Except maybe for better pricing, and the guarantee for a new free phone every year with the Customer First program.
...
What do you mean they'll ALWAYS give the basic unit for FREE with a contract renewal??? That's an ABSOLUTE lie!!! You also lie by saying you gain nothing by signing a 2 yr contract and that is also a LIE. The price, which there is a price, is cheaper with a 2yr contract and you can also get mail in rebates.
...
Amen. Free phones are NOT a guarantee, unless you sign up for the Customer First program, and then only after 1 yr of being on the program.
...
I agree with you AT&T. there are higher rebates now only with 2 year contract and that is the way ATTWS plans on doing things from now on Hence the "Customer First Promise rolled our back in November. I really wish ATTWS would do what company overseas do and get out of the phone selling and support area anyway. 😲 The person who posted that other stuff must be new or shotting in the dark. i recall that early 2003 and most of 2002 and maybe even most 2001 there was not must reason for 2 year other the waive SOS fees, unless your were looking as chater old plan with GSM. however is i beleive is good to see ATTWS start spicing up offers for two year contracts. 😎
