So isn't it true verizon's cdma phones often trickle down to us cellular?

Does this means its possible for us to get the razr eventually? I think its an amazing looking phone.


P.s. anyone see the new nokia windows phone?! (The more expensive model) it looks gorgeous imo.

If somehow you got this position (and accepted it of course 🙂 ) what direction would you take the company?

Would you:

1. Make massive changes in pricing/structure/etc to try to be competitive? If so, what would these changes be?

2. Find a buyer as quick as possible?

3. Attempt to buy other smaller carriers to expand presence?

4. Continue the current course?

If I buy one of the Non-prepaid android phones at full price can I use something like the Galaxy Phone or the desire on prepaid?

I was just wondering i have the desire and I love the phone but it has way to little internal memory will we ever get the galaxy s2 or should i give up hope we will get it and get something else.

Yesterday (8/18/11) we signed up for US Cellular on the web. We got three LG Saber phones on the Family Essential Plus plan (1500 minutes, Unlimited Messaging, 5 GB of data per line) because the total that we'd have to pay for the day would only be $0.03, and we have -$173 in the bank account. I got an email saying the phones would arrive sometime next week. I don't want an LG Saber. I had a Motorola Devour with Verizon, so the LG Saber is a bit too basic for me. I was actually interested in the LG Genesis. I will have the money to pay for the phone on September 15. Can I change my phone? Will I get any crazy fees?

I seen today on a rebate form the htc wildfire s and desire 2. Still waiting to see what higher end phones come like the motorola electrify.

Im not trying to pick on US Cellular, but I have recently seen ads that say "Get the highest call quality and network satisfaction of any national carrier".

My question is, since when did US Cellular become a national carrier? I, as well as the industry itself, have always considered it a regional carrier (sometimes I have heard "super-regional carrier"). I hope it isn't that someone decided to call USCC a national carrier in one survey, and USCC started running with this description of itself, saying it is a national carrier all of a sudden.

Maybe this should not bother me as much as it does. But I feel like US Cellular is always trying to be what it is not. It always tries to portray itself as one of the big carriers, when it is ...

So i have been a long time USCC customer and i am looking at renewing and getting a new phone. the phone i want is advertised for $39.99 after 50 MIR. But to qualify for the rebate you HAVE to have a $14.95/month plan for 3 months. So to eliminate pennies. You pay $90 for a phone. spend another $45 in a data plan and then get $50 back...To me this isn't a $40 phone it is a $85 phone. False advertising on the cost of the phone?

I just got the Blackberry Torch. I have had blackberry for years and years. Last year I tried the HTC Desire. It was an amazing phone but the email capabilities never compared to a blackberry. I ended up going back to my old curve. Recently I tried the Mesmerize. The screen was beautiful and features on Android are amazing, but once again I was constantly annoyed with not getting my email all the time. I know I'm probably the minority, but I think I will stick with blackberry. I think the Torch is an amazing phone. I couldn't be happier with it, except if it had a "slide it" keyboard like the android. Does anyone else have this phone?

Any idea when the new Torch is hitting USCC? I noticed Sprint launched theirs today and I was hoping that US Cellular would roll it out at the same time.

Does anyone know if USC is testing and getting ready to push this out? It seems like we're always the last to get the good stuff.

But, we all so need a site for a blog and even a pod-casting show. I am work on one now and need help. I need the US Cellular community to help with site. Does anyone have any information as to when we can expect USCC to follow in the footsteps of Verizon and force these upon us?

I'm wondering if someone knows where I can get detailed information on the belief plan. Specifically in regards to etf's when switching from a contract to the belief plan.

I have been reading on various sites that where getting the Desire S, checked out the vids of this phone on YouTube, and it could possibly be my next device. A part of me still wants to hold out for the Motorola phone we are supposedly getting, which sounds an awful lot like the Motorola Photon Sprint is getting. Is there any solid info on when these phones may be coming out?

I recently got the new Windows 7 Phone, the HTC 7 Pro. I'm wondering if there are any apps in the marketplace that will keep track of my data usage, similar to the 3G Watchdog app for Androids. Also, is there an app that will show me all the apps that are running on my phone? again similar to what Androids have.

Is there any word of a gs2 phone coming to USC? I might cry if we don't get it.. I have the mesmerize now and I'm extremely happy with it but literally drool with the thought of the gs2!

In the release U.S. Cellular stated 3 new HTC phones will be release before the end of the year. Any ideas on what 3 are being tested?
