No, you can only have the phones that are offered on the pre-paid plans. The LG Apex, the HTC Merge, the LG Optimus, and the Samsung Acclaim.

Once a smartphone has been discontinued or is marketed for prepaid are the only phones that will be able to be used on prepaid. Hence why all premium phones can be used on prepaid now.

YES. If you buy the phone at retail price?? The $600, or $300 used. Or if you get it cheaper on your own. Sure you can activate it on a prepaid line. You just won't get the full 5 gig plan. You'll only be able to get the 2 gig pre paid plan. But, you do HAVE to have data on the phone one way or another.

Currently there is 1 Android phone offered at a discounted price with pp service. But, you can activate one you buy on your own just fine. I don't think the same applies to Blackberry or Windows mobile phones though.

Sorry that is not correct. You cannot use a mesmerize on prepaid even if you own it outright.

Ok, I've worked here about 8 years now.. and I check back whenever I can. And its funny you mentioned this, but, a couple weekends ago. I sold a used merge and used mez to a prepaid account and worked just fine.

When activating the phones for customers, there isn't any codes that will restrict a certain model of phone. Hell, even a Premium internet code will work to activate an Android powered phone.

Well honestly you are both right! Are we supposed to activate a mesmerize on a prepaid account, NO! Can we do it, YES! There are certian androids that we are not supposed to activate on a prepaid account the mesmerize is one of them that does not mean that it cant be done. 😁
