Was looking to upgrade my Desire last weekend and in talking with a sales rep about upcoming technology or phones, they heard that 4G may be coming at the end of the 1st quarter. This being said there currently is not a phone that supports 4G so I would want to wait on upgrading till a phone is available. Is there any ideas of what phones are currently being tested for 4G capability?

Really...? Couldn't come up with anything better?...well at least the red/white/blue color scheme is back (at least on the website)

Can anoyone tell me if there's a way to get the US CELLULAR software off this phone to flash a different providers software on it like Verizon or Alltel? I've had some customers get a Verizon tech to flash this phone but the enhanced services like SMS and web browsing still of course doesnt work.

So US Cellular is throwing out some of it's older phones and will be bringing in some new phones within the next month or so. Already they have brought in the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC One V along with two new feature phones. I just am curious as to what new choices they will bring to the table.

Does anyone know a timeline for when we can expect other 4G/LTE phones to be available? More information besides "they're coming" or "soon" or "right around the corner" would be appreciated.

Now i know that there are good competitive phones out there and as a carrier that resells the Iphone4(S) is not as profitable as other phones, but I think the company would gain a good chunk of customers just by switching to an iphone and later after a year 1/2 they can upgrade to a different handset. Sales so far of the iphone 4S have been even better than the iphone4, look at C spire i never heard of that company and now is all over the news, it was an instat marketing move. Just wondering if there is any word of the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Electrify coming out and if so when.

Just seen it on Phonescoop today, and my local store confirmed they should have it on sale the first week of March. Though not 4g it is still an awesome device and with the same processor found in the Sprint version it's blazingly fast. Kind of wish I was elgible for an upgrade but I had gotten the Electrify(also an outstanding device) 4 months ago. Wish U.S. Cellular wasn't so secretive about the phones they have coming down the pipeline, I really feel that if they put a little info of what they have coming a bit earlier, it might help retain more of their customers, and make outsiders from other carriers take notice. Just announced minutes ago, a change in commissions has caused an uproar within the company. Every employee took a hit with the new belief plan as they are no longer paid for phones sold to customers already on the belief plan. Now an additional pay-cut comes just before the Christmas holidays. US Cellular employees are now no longer paid for, nor receive credit for customers that are on old plans. Employees are now only paid to switch customers over to the new belief plans, and paid for new customers. Even new customers don't pay that well as employees make only $9 to $21 per customer as apposed to the previous plan where they made over $100 in some cases for accounts. For those who work for US Cellular or who are very familiar with it, why do you think US Cellular has struggled to have customer growth in the last couple of years? Is it due to:

- lack of handsets

- price of plans

- being a small carrier

- too much fierce competition

- something else

I am not intending on this being a US Cellular bashing thread, but rather I want to get people's opinions who are familiar with US Cellular. It seems as though this company has good coverage, including rural coverage, and good customer service. So I am curious to see why you think it is struggling to grow the customer base.
