check your plan

I had a pretty good idea, but just for fun, I checked my family plan on Verizon and ATT, just to compare. I have 3 phones (2 Heroes and a Centro), all with insurance. Obviously we have the 1500 min everything plan, so we all have unl. text and data. I compared with Verizon's 1400 min. Friends and Family plan. The 3 phones i chose were 2 Droid Erises and a BB Curve. For ATT, I compared the Backflip (2) and a BB Curve. (I'm replacing my Centro with an Evo, but couldn't compare the iPhone because I couldn't get insurance on it.)
Anyway, the results were astonishing to me. My Sprint plan was $70 less PER MONTH than either of those 2 carriers. That's over $1600 in a 2 year contract. To top it off, in the room where i teach (and spend a majority...

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN A PHONE IS COMING OUT WITH "INTEL ATOM Z" PROCESSOR?

I read about this new processor for PDAs and am wondering if anyone has an idea of when a phone will be coming out with this newly developed processor and if so, for which phone carrier?? 🤤

Android 2.1 for Sprint HTC Hero....24 hours later

OK so I assume we've all had an opportunity to download, install and play around with the Android 2.1 OS Update on the Sprint HTC Hero. 🤤 😁 If yes, feel feel to drop your opinions here (i.e., Like it, don't like it, neutral, apathetic, etc). And for those who have not done it yet, well what the heck are you all waiting for?
IMHO, it's a head over heels improvement over Cupcake 1.5.

1. It's running better even with the fairly large amount of apps I've got installed on it. 2. It also looks like (but I can't attest to this with certainty just yet) that the Internet Browser on board by default has some Flash Player support built in. I was able to play videos from ESPN on it that weren't playing on the older stock browser bef...

Premier Customers prepare for a nasty change in benefits

Just released info on 7/15/2010 Premier Status Benefits change in the following ways:

1) Upgrade activation fee on premier line will only be waived if upgrade done through Sprint.com. Fee will not be waived otherwise unlike currently.

2) 25% discount will now be available through telesales as well as Retail Location (where right now only in Retail Location) but it will require a minimum of 2 accessories to get the 25% discount.

All else remains the same, including the criteria to qualify.

Sprint credit check process

A friend of mine wants to get an EVO when it comes out on Sprint but has questionable credit. He wants to know if he can go to Sprint and get a pre-screened credit check to see if he is approved or denied now so he doesn't have to wonder for 3 weeks. Also, is it possible to buy the EVO full price and avoid the 2 year contract and credit check? (He did have Sprint around 4 years ago and always paid on time. He is currently on AT&T and has an iPhone 3GS.)
Thank you for any info.

I'm slowly falling for Sprint

Oh how my HTC hero fits comfortably in my hand and everything loads when in demand. Music streaming, videos, web and down loads at speeds that blow away my G1. Android Eclair you complement little miss patty and her five sisters with your mull-ti tasking capability and sexy formality with a network that can out upload and download Tmo you get the butt end of this twosome love affair while Sprint gets the top. I'm slowly falling for you Sprint head over heels sorry T-mo but Sprint just has a larger 3G foot print.

Wow, Sprint is already excepting bids for LTE equipment

Sprint is moving right along, I betcha they will be the first network in the U.S. to launch LTE-Advanced when that day comes. I'm very impressed with Sprint's progress!

Ten Keys to Being Happy with your Service Provider

1. Check your bill EVERY month and make sure you understand every single charge on it, even if it doesn't change month to month.

2. Understand that YOU are responsible for keeping track of your usage (voice, internet, texting, etc). Your provider is not going to hold your hand when it gives you many options to do it yourself.

3. If you have a problem with your phone, do NOT call for support while talking on it! Make sure you have a way to get on a different phone, even a pay phone (calling 1800-xxx-xxxx is free on pay phones).

4. When on the phone with a rep, act professional when they are trying to help you. They are people too. The nicer you are, the more willing they are to help you and the easier it is to help. Do not rant ...

Where should i Buy from? -HTC EVO

Okay I know that both Best Buy and Radio Shack are both selling the HTC Evo along with the sprint store. I am wondering where should i buy my phone from?

If i buy it from either Best Buy or Radio Shack and something happens to it can i still take it into the Sprint store and get it fix or replace it through Sprint, or do I have to go through the store that I bought it from?

The first in the 4G race now what?

I've been reading about the other three wireless providers plans on speeding up their network. AT&T and T-mobile HSPA+ and Verizon's LTE. It seems apparent to me the competition is in full force with all of them making it clear that they are all going to douse their customers with MBS by the bucket load. Just the one question that remains who is going to have the largest bucket and are they going to fill it to them rim. This is certainly an interesting situation.

Sprint CFO said Pre didn't turn out like they hoped...well, theres always the Evo!

The Pre may not have turned out as they hoped, but it couldn't have done that bad, I do see people around town using it.

Any big issues with the 2.1 update for the Hero yet?

I am downloading it now but wanted to see if there were any issues before actually applying it to my phone.

Android 2.1 for Sprint HTC Hero....available but where?

Ok so the Android OS 2.1 Update for Sprint HTC Hero is finally available. Heck even the Phone Scoop home page is even showing this news. However, when I went to http://www.sprint.com/download, the only Download available was the HTC Sync 2.0.3.3 and nothing else. Is Sprint still trying to play with our heads or is there some secret location that they actually have the "Official version" located out there?

At least they didn't wait until the Evo 4G was released to get us this release. Hopefully we can all get this today and be done with the madness 🙄 .

New Evo 4G not so hot!

Sprint is planing to change the pricing option for the EVO 4G instead of using the already existing ulimited plans that Sprint currently has. Based on my opinion, this will discourage customer from wanting to get that phone or better yet stay with sprint. Besides the Palm Pre and the HTC PRO 2, Sprint has not been coming up with any new pda devices that would compete with its competitors. However when i heard of the EVO 4G coming out, i thought it was a good chance for Sprint to make an impression but adding these additional fees will not help.

Terms and Conditions?

After the recent website updates, I cannot seem to find the Terms and Conditions (contract info). The 'Search' function isn't coming up with anything useful.

Does anybody know where this may be listed?
