Okay I know that both Best Buy and Radio Shack are both selling the HTC Evo along with the sprint store. I am wondering where should i buy my phone from?

If i buy it from either Best Buy or Radio Shack and something happens to it can i still take it into the Sprint store and get it fix or replace it through Sprint, or do I have to go through the store that I bought it from?

Best buy for the instant rebate. Yes you can still take it to a repair center.

Agree and agree.

Better yet, buy it at BestBuy, and then take it to a Sprint store and request the ReadyNow service so they can spend the next twenty minutes telling you about a phone that they get nothing for selling to you. They *love* that. 😈

Buy it a Sprint store. You'll get service and a knowledge base you won't find elsewhere.

Regardless of where you purchase the EVO you can still take it to a repair center. Most third party sprint dealers, such as wireless express, will also offer the instant discount on the EVO for 199.99. Also with sprints new buyback program, you'll be able to bring in old phones to get money credited toward your purchase!! : ]

At Radio Shack, you have a 30day return policy.

If something happens, and phone stops working in 30 days - take it back and get it exchanged - *IF* its *NOT* your fault...

your fault? Hopefully you have warranty with Sprint. You call, pay deductible and get a refurb (most likely)

not your fault, and after 30 days? Depending on where you buy, and what insurance option you get (RS, BB, Sprint all offer different insurance options) determines what you do then...

No insurance? Hopefully you have enough saved up to buy a replacement.

Personally, I got the best deal at Radio Shack. They were $200.00 (instant rebate) and gave me a $20 accessory credit for pre-ordering. I had to put $50 down, but Best Buy wanted $50 also but no accessory credit. It's kind of funny, because I sell Sprint at Sam's Club and we're taking pre-orders also, but my District Manager says that company policy wouldn't allow me to pre-order. Wouldn't you think it would be easier to sell a great phone like this if one of our employees actually had one?

I have a Sprint Premier account - so I get early equipment upgrade and no "activation" charges.

Will I be able to get my upgrade to Evo done at Radio Shack?

As far as I know, only if you're eligible for a $150 (full) upgrade.
