Re: Razr2 TEXT ID RINGERS
Vibrate and Ring are two separate functions on the V9M. There is no "Vibrate and ring" option. Rather, there is a "Vibrate On/Off" option and a separate "Ringer On/Off" option.
Bottom line, yes, it workes with Vibrate and Ring.
Re: Battery Life
I just want to add that by "full discharge/charge" it implies letting the phone die completly (not until it says "low battery") and for you to not touch it at all until it charges to full.
My V9M lasted a good 2-3 hours on standby and limited use after saying "low battery." Had to play that stupid Prince song on repeat until it finally died.
Re: Razr2 TEXT ID RINGERS
Yes. You can select a custom ringtone for each individual contact.
Re: Voice mail question on the Motorola RAZR2 V9m
If you go to where you enter the number (*86), you should click "Options" and option 1 says "2-Sec Pause."
"You mean theres more to using a phone than button smashing?"
RAZR2 OR LG VX-8550
I am trying to negotiate a new contract with Verizon. I am not going to hotfix or modify either phone and not really interested in the mp3 compatability of the Chocolate.
Should I go with the RAZR2 or the Chocolate 8550 and why?

Re: Startup/Shutdown Tones
Its normal. It's meant to allow for quicker shutdown times to conserve battery life.
Re: Verizon pisses me off... NEW EVERY ONE!!!
I hear your argument and raise you. My contract ended recently and I wanted to renew the contract as well as get the E815 NE2. Well, my local area is NYC but for the summer I'm in California. Not only was I unable to renew my contract at any local store, but I had to wait for verizon to mail me my phone from the east coast. I even, at one point, had a service rep from a store ...
Re: Dead Pixels
My brand new E815 also has dead pixels. 3 to be exact (a red, blue and green one). They are pretty scattered on the screen. However, they are seen only when taking a picture and nowhere else. The saved pictures NEVER have dead pixels nor do the menus. After setting up the phone and customizing everything, it's not worth replacing the phone for a few dead pixels which are there only a fraction of the time.
PhoneBook Transfer
So here's the deal. I'm getting the E815 in the mail relatively soon and I'm thinking of how I can transfer my phonebook from my vx-6000. I defintely don't want to dish out $12 for the CS dude to spend 10 seconds and transfer the info. Can I do it with a USB cable? Data cable? Bluetooth?
I have my phonebook on my computer [through a data cable for my VX-6000]. Can i maybe e-mail it to the E815?
Re: Is the 650 worth it?
Why don't you go to the page on this site that is specific to the 650? You would find all the info that you want.
BETTER PLAN OPTIONS FOR EXISTING CUSTOMERS?
I have been a Verizon customer for 4 years. My contract is just about over and I was wondering if there was anyway to get additional minutes with a new contract? I currently have the 450 plan but I want more minutes. I don't need 900 because thats an overkill but can't Verizon reps add like 100 minutes every month to make a 550 min plan? Is this even possible? One rep said yes and showed me where it ...
Internal Memory
How much memory space does the E815 have? As in, how many photos can you take before you can't take anymore?
Also, how many contacts can have a unique picture ID? I'm referring about the VX-6000 which allowed a maximum of 20 pictures to be taken and assigned to contacts (without a little secret to move them into your "My Graphics" folder). Does the picture ID display on the front as well as the inside?
Re: The REAL Retail Price of the E815!
I just called the Circuit City in Santa Ana, CA and they told me the price was $150 (before a $50 mail in rebate). I am assuming this was with a contract. But the point remains, it is NOT over $300.
