Our B2B vzw rep brought in a Q that a tech is testing, and it is awesome! this thing makes my 9 month old samsung 730i look old school, and very bulky! his release date "guess" was end of 3rd first of 4th...

You CAN put the phone in vibrate mode with out the stylus, genius, by (once again) changing an option... push the volume control button on the left side of the phone, a pop-up window with both the device volume (controls internal speakers, key pad volume, etc) as well as the phone ring volume will pop up. With the stylus select the "vibrate" option. Once you have selected this option, you will be able to move the phone ...

I would say it really depends on how bad you want/need it to pair with your X5. The sammy is the dominate phone, but there is a better chance of getting treo to work with your X5 than it ever working with the samsung. Using BT handsfree in my beemer was pretty important to me, but I loooove the phone, so I (like I said ) I forward my sammy when im in the car to a ...

Once again, it's the Indian, not the arrow... righteousbro, take the time to learn the features and you will learn that, you can preset your office's VM password(s) into the speed-dial. Pick a pre-set, program you office VM phone # then type/write "P" (for pause, insert two-three)then type write #. -Your VM and Password will miraculously be dialed! There is Sprint patch for the Treo 650 (www.palmone.com). -You can hack it to work with your VZW Treo. As far as the Samsung goes...check with BMW north america and see if your X5 uses the DUN BT profile (I'm almost positive it does). hey rsinkhorn, this is what I found out about syncing/pairing with the BT DUN profile (used in BMW, Acura, Mini, and a few others)... We are pretty much screwed! The damn thing will pair, but it does one of two things when you try to use it. Either it will work (full-functioning, minus the phone book and other options) for around 10-30 seconds, then it will transfer back to the handheld unit, or it will work fine ...

rzande1 is right no software beaming -it just isnt compatible. I got this sucka last Wednesday (June 22) and this phone kicks a lot of butt. It is definitely a PDA-first devise, meaning only that the PDA functions are nearly flawless, while the phone functions take some getting use to. Are there any hacks or anything out there that will make this phone pair with my BMW (DUN BT) handsfree system!? -I can get it to pair, but each call (incoming or outgoing) will only work handsfree for 5-15 seconds then the call transfers back to the handset!? So there are quite a few people who actually have the phone in their hot little hands (lucky bastards)!? How much did everyone pay, and where did you get the phone (VZW store, in-direct dealer, etc)? I've heard everything from $449 to $499, to $700?

Re: Bluetooth and BMW

rsinkhorn, From what I understand, Acura and BMW use the same BT profile, DUN (Dial up), so it should be the same thing (same problems, same limited usage).

Re: Bluetooth and BMW

From what I understand form both VZW and BMWUSA is that is should work, but it will not tranfer the phonebook. All this means is you have to dial from the phone...not a huge deal. Also, VZW says there will "probably" be a DUN patch released so the phone book will eventually transfer.

Jawsnj, I'm with you on this one. My B2B rep said all the Verizon Reps are cursing this site and it's "unreliable, at best" information! He said possibly Friday, but more than likely Monday of next week for B2B customers (two weeks later for retail).
