Slingbox on the bold for verizon
Has anyone tried to use slingbox on the bold (for verizon). Since it has wifi i wouldnt imagine that verizon would block the service if only using it in a wifi zone.

Verizon is a publicly held company that publishes their corporate officers, legal team, and directors. I had a serious issue w/ Fios and I wrote an email and sent it to every corporate officer (including the CEO), investor relations director, and every other email address I could find, and within a half hour I had at least 5 different responses w/ direct phone lines.

I currently have the Dare and although the txt to voice feature is kinda fun to play w/ it really has very little value. Network Extender
I have been researching the Network Extender and notice that all the data online refers to the service as providing you with uninterrupted outgoing calls. My question is first has anyone tried it and second does anyone know if it provides better reception for incoming calls?

No offense but I really am not interested in Sprint...their service is substantially inferior to VZW and ATT. I have been w/ VZW for about 8-10 years now and am hesitant to move to ATT just for the use of slingbox..but that is the only other carrier I would go to.

The first chocolate was able to be used in speaker mode w/ the slide closed. Can this phone be used in both speaker and in regular mode w/ the slide closed?
New to the MP3 Game
I have a ton of music on my computer and i recently tried to put some on my 8300, but it seems like the only mp3's that will play are the ones i uploaded to my computer via the cd i had. Any of the songs i have that i purchased from napster say the song is copyright protected. Am i not allowed to play music on my phone that i purchased on line?
how do i get my videos to play on my computer?
I have the 8300 and have downloaded the videos from my phone to my computer but they are in 3G2 format. I tried to email them to someone but neither of us can open them on our work computers. Is there any way to get these videos in like windows media format?

So, really then Helio is a company that runs on sprint and verizon towers. So basically all they really do is provide you w/ more phone choices and price plans and combine the call quality of sprint and verizon?

Can someone explain to me what Helio is? I am under the impression that they are a phone company that has there own exclusive phones but they run on both the sprint and verizon networks. Is this correct? So they actually dont have any cell towers of their own they just run off either the sprint or verizon towers and whichever one you get a better signal w/ that is the service your using? So ...

My impression of this service is that Helio will be able to function on BOTH verizon and sprint networks, and at the time of call/use the phone service w/ the most stable signal will be the one used at that time. Is this correct? If so isnt it like having both sprint and verizon services? I am not following why either verizon or sprint would allow this and why anyone and everyone wouldnt go to Helio. ...

is there a way to quickly silence all ringers and reminders(including txt notifacations) like the 6000? If not is there a way to do this thru the main menu?

The nokia 6256(?) has the capablitiy to do this, you do it thru the voice reconition via the speakerphone. I guess this phone does not have the capablity.
I went to get it at bb and they were sold out, i am going to go to another one today.

actually after i reread your post you didnt mention if you could actually create a call from the speakerphone mode w/ the clam closed you only said you could answer it in speaker mode. Do you know if you can make a call w/ the clam closed?

I was playing w/ this phone yesterday at the verizon store and could not figure out if you can increase or decrease the speakerphone volume. I set the "master volume" to as high as it went but the speaker still seemed low.
Also in all the demo models at the store there was no lens cover over the camera, is this the way the phone is? I cant imagine it is good for the phone when ...
