Voice to txt

I currently have the Dare and although the txt to voice feature is kinda fun to play w/ it really has very little value. I mean, if i have the phone read out my txt i have to have the txt open anyway so i might as well read it myself...my question is has anyone ever tried to do the reverse? For example, if i were driving and wanted to txt a friend if i were able to speak into my phone and then my phone covert that voice to a txt message it really could help w/ the potential dangers of txt'ing while driving.

Has anyone ever heard of big red or any other carrier trying to implement something like this?

I have a voyager and I haved tried to send a voice memo to anyone else with a verizon phone if I am too lazy to type on my keypad. I guess you could send a voice memo while stopped at a taffic light perhaps.
I hope this helped.

Several phone have had this feature, with limited success, off the top of my head I know the Samsung 970 had it a few years back.

Try Jott for free at jott.com. I did the trial period just to see if it was pretty accurate, easy to use, and I hate typing I gave it up. Try it out.
