Complications
I don't understand how internet providers can get away with this. If you are paying for a guaranteed speed, can't you sue for failure to meet that speed wherever you go? How can Verizon sell a 150mbps package and only allow me to use 3 Megs for Netflix?
Hopefully this covers Wi-Fi connectivity issues
I have an S8+ from At&t and I'm having issues staying connected to Wi-Fi networks, especially when using Wi-Fi calling. Anytime I use Wi-Fi calling, I get disconnected from Wi-Fi within 5 minutes. Anyone else having similar issues?
Same old half ass promotion with no hotspot.
They can't even match Verizon this time around, no hotspot.
One step forward and two steps back
These idiots just can't comprehend why they are losing customers left and right.
Innovation can have consequences
Apple fanboys will troll this post as it seems the iOS/Android anger on the internet is popular. I carry a Note 5 and iPhone 6s Plus and I can tell you they are both fantastic products. The fact that Samsung stepped up to the plate to voluntary recall all Note 7s is a huge step in the right direction even though it is at a sensitive time with Apple releasing new phones soon. The fact is ...
Just a faster way to gobble up data
The Verizon network is truly superior to other networks overall, but AT&T and Verizon are both behind with the times. While the 2 inferior networks are making upgrades and offering better plans the big two are not offering more of an incentive. Just because a phone can download at 150 mbps, it doesn't mean much to most people. I feel once you get to 10mbps and have a low latency, most people will be content. ...
It's about time.
It only takes this company a few quarters of losing customers to comprehend they are behind in the times. Superior network, yes. Inferior business practices yes as well.
At&t is always half assing their promotions
Sprint and T-Mobile offer unlimited 2g data and $.20 a minute calling. Verizon offers a $10 a day plan which only deducts from you home plan. At&t needs to learn to get its act together. If they want to make an offer, they should at least be a bit more competitive.
Just a way for the union to appear useful
Union dues from 5 million laborers being put to work. Union fees going up at a TMobile store near you.
John Legere will get a thrill out of this
It seems like AT&T is going to set a record this year.... in highest churn rate.
It's moves like this that make me want to switch to T-Mobile
Right now I am currently on a 20gb plan with unlimited talk and text on AT&T and I pay $90 after tax for 1 line after employer discount. I am tempted to switch to T-Mobile due to band 12 being active in my area, $95 for unlimited data (of course with deprioritization). I feel like i'd rather give my money to a company that at least invests in the customer. Anyone share band 12 experience or ...
This is nothing more than their old promotion
The offer before was to cut your bill in half. Now they add T-Mobile (only after they raise their prices) and limit the 50% current plans offered. On top of that, they are all over the place with this sketchy plan. If they give you 50% off Verizon or AT&T, then you will be subject to overages. With T-Mobile, Unlimited data is not eligible for the promotion. Adding insult to injury, Sprint doesn't ...
1 step forward 4 steps back
John Legere is going to have a nice smile bashing this one.
One good thing
One good thing is seeing AT&T and Verizon dropping their prices a little. Where I live, T-Mobile and Sprint have horrible coverage.
Dumb move
The fact that they have a $50 plan and jump up to $100 with no options in between is dumb. It is like Att either wants you to overpay for unused data or get hit with overage.
TMobile and Sprint may have inferior networks compared to the big 2, but their efforts to bring in consumers is commendable. Verizon and Att are taking steps backwards while others move forward.
Re: Well
Besides, Sprint is the deceptive baby hiding all of their fees, punishing loyal customers with old contracts, and advertising unlimited data but throttling video at low end 3g speeds. Marcelo knows his network is complete **** and tmobile has come a long way. It truly sucks when you fall in to last place and your only hope is to sell all of your useless space to MVNOs.
Re: Well
We can laugh all we want at the this Jerry Springer knockoff. John Legere may be a trash talker, but he is the man who brought competition to an industry controlled by 2 greedy giants. TMobile and Sprint have horrible coverage in my area, so my only options are Verizon and Att or their MVNOs and their 2nd tier proxies. Had it not been for John Legere, we would all be paying $200-300 for those overage based ...
Re: I think
Verizons mentality is comparable to General Motors in the 60s 70s era. They think Cadillac, luxurious and quality. While they may be ahead of the times, they are going to start feeling the punch very soon. Att is attempting to show its customers that it can somewhat adapt with the market. If it weren't for att Verizon rates would still be more expensive as it doesn't see Sprint or T mobile as threats. Att and T mobile ...
Re: There You Have It
We shall see when their stock price decides to take a hit.
Re: How is VoLTE doing?
Sounds like my quality audio. Only thing downside I noticed is when you are 1-2 bars of service, the call tends to cut out a lot more over trading calls.
Re: I love the interface
Does it support VOLTE?
Apple is about the shareholder and not the consumer
They were in a rush to break out the Iphone 6 and new iOS and they forgot the key factor that made Apple, which is quality control. iOS 8.0 was released and bugs galore, 8.0.1 comes out a few days later and it turned iPhones in to useless iPods. iOS 8.0.2 comes out and my new iPhone 6 crashes, freezes, and reboots on its own. Steve Jobs made the company and now it's gone. Apple ...
Re: If only this worked on Verizon
Verizon has the Z3v coming out next week.
VoLTE is a battery killer on the iPhone
I have an iPhone 6 128gb. Great phone and all, but the battery seems comparable to the 5s. Turn VoLTE on and your talk time will be cut in half, but you will be able to talk and browse at the same time.
That's what you get when the FCC chairman is ex Verizon
That's what you get when the FCC chairman is ex Verizon. AT&T dropped prices to compete, Sprint tries to buy the competition, and Verizon screws the competition with government power. Corruption at it's finest.
