activating phone

I just called helio to activate my phone and got the numbers to put into the phone. however, when i turned on the phone, i was not taken to the screen where i was to enter my mobile number and account number, but was taken to the home screen. This apparently means my phone is activated but I can't make or receive calls, use the internet, or download any content. Any suggestions? Thanks

I am seriously considering dropping Verizon and my vx8300 for Helio and the Drift. I live in the Los Angeles area and am curious about the quality of coverage and calls. For those who have used Helio, have you expericed many dropped calls or areas without any service. This phone is very enticing, yet the primary function of a cell phone is to make and receive calls. I previously had the Moto V710 and had a transflash card...I am trying to transfer just a few pictures from the v710 to the 8300 via transflash...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

Whenever I want to sample a song on vcast I am unable to sample it as an error message says that is is unable to do so...yes I do have vcast enabled...Any ideas?

For those who have the phone...is the UI sluggish as it was in the videos here on phonescoop? I also remember reading that this phone will be avaiable in stores tomorrow June 5th...Can anyone confirm this...I live in the Los Angeles area and the phone still has not shown up on the verizon website... Thanks for the help.

In the video it seemed like scrolling through the menus was a little sluggish...Was this the case with your experiences? If so, do you know/think it will be smoothed out by release? Thanks

to set the phone to vibrate just push the volume button up or down it doesn't matter then push "0" and the phone will be set to vibrate...this obviously has to be done with the phone open...

Where is the speakerphone?!!! this phone would be perfect if it had peakerphone and was on Verizon!!! If I bought it retail and put it on verizon service, would it work and what functions would be disabled and would text messaging be better? thanks

I want to buy this phone...but I'm not elligable for an upgrade for a while...so if I were to buy the vx8000 off of ebay for a bit cheaper than verizon sells it full retail, and I sold my current phone...and gave the new SERIAL number or whatever it is to Verizon, would it start me from the beginning of my contract again...in other words, would it make me have to wait another FULL two years until I'm elligable ...

So, the USB can't transfer pics etc...that sucks...is there any other way around transfering files to and from the phone to a comp without using the email thing because I've tried that a couple times with the v710 and it sometimes says that the attachment has been dropped :x ... But if there isn't another way, I'd have to send mp3 ringtones etc...via the #@vzwpix.com? THANKS

Has anyone seen any pictures taken with this phone...because it doesn't say CCD on the specs, I can assume it's got a CMOS sensor right... :? ...that sucks...but anyway my qustion is whats the pciture quality of this phone like and are there any pictures that have been taken with it? I'm sorta confused right now... It's 15$/month for the VCAST thing...but if you want high speed internet access (EV-DO i think it is) that costs extra? In addition to your 15$ VCAST and service charge? How much will the (EV-DO) cost if anyone knows...thanks for the help 8)

make sure they're about 30 sec or so... then move them 2 your phone... once they're on the phone...u can set them as ringtones all mp3 ringtones need to be on the "phone" unfortunately

you all remember those walmart ringtones? could someone please help me get them onto my phone again...i save them and attach them in an e-mail to mynumber@vzwpix.com...but it says attachment dropped when i open it on thr phone...thanks for the help...peace
