Vibrate Shortcut

Has anyone found a one button (silent) shortcut to place the phone on vibrate and to turn the ringer back on again later?

I found a 2 button quick way to do it but would be nice to have one dedicated button, other than holding the volume button down and watching the display to see if it is vibrate or silent.

What is your 2 button method? I put the ringer icon on one of the main menu points(e.g. right). Then press the right arrow 2 or 3 times till to style:vibrate. It's really quicker than the explanation. Try it.

to set the phone to vibrate just push the volume button up or down it doesn't matter then push "0" and the phone will be set to vibrate...this obviously has to be done with the phone open...

Instead of opening the phone for "0", use the outside speaker-phone button. It works the same without having to open.

yep, just about to suggest that as it's how I'd always change my ringer on the V60, just hit up and it'll display what your current ring-type is, and then pressing the action button will scroll through the choices, and either press up again to see the date or just put it back in your pocket.

Good find!!! 🙂 That is a one of the best ways.

For those that need vibrate, here are the ways to do it so far:

1. Hold down the bottom volume button continuously till the "inside" screen says vibrate. If it goes to silent, tap the up volume. To return it to ring, hold the up volume till you reach the volume you want. Phone must be open for this method.

2. With the phone open, "touch" the down volume and then press "0". It will be set to vibrate immediately. Use the down volume button or the phone will beep if you use the up volume if the volume is set less that ...

I want a way to turn the phone COMPLETELY silent. On my old Samsung I just had to hold the pound key and the entire phone would go quiet, no rings, no key tones, no anything. Turning the phone silent still does not silence the key tones, is there no simple way to deafen the phone?

To return to ring, press either the up or down volume button and then press any of the numbered keys corresponding to the volume setting you want, 1 to 7.

3. Set the ringer Icon as a shortcut on the main screen and s...

when you choose "silent" or "vibe" then you have to wait for a few seconds the volume screen to go away or hit end. then the keys are silent. until this happens, the keys still beep. kind of like rebooting your computer after an update.
