upgrading
I want to buy this phone...but I'm not elligable for an upgrade for a while...so if I were to buy the vx8000 off of ebay for a bit cheaper than verizon sells it full retail, and I sold my current phone...and gave the new SERIAL number or whatever it is to Verizon, would it start me from the beginning of my contract again...in other words, would it make me have to wait another FULL two years until I'm elligable for an upgrade or is the amount of time that's passed since my previous upgrade stay the same...thanks

No, you would not be starting the contract over.
You can get a new phone anywhere at any time that works with Verizon.. and just activate it, keeping your other phone for a spare.
