Actually....
It looks more like the Motorola Droid Pro/Admiral in that photo.
But it is a near perfect copy of the Blackberry keyboard.
You obviously don't pay attention
Sprint is sitting on 4 times more spectrum as Verizon, and twice as much as Verizon and ATT combined.
TMO has 3 time more than Verizon...
Really, stop listening to the crap they feed you in those stores.
It's called "virtual inventory".
And it allows the carriers to reduce overhead costs, by ordering only what is paid for already, rather than have stuff
sit around.
Yeah, I know. I hate it too, and I work for VZW.
Re: When is verizon getting the IPHONE???
Only overseas.
Page one.

Nothing new here...
Alltel did this a two years ago.

Shame it's not CDMA for those of us in the states that have a good network. :(
Re: Anyone know of cell phones that may INCREASE in value?
Anything by Vertu would be your best bet. They're a small volume, niche market manufacturer (arm of Nokia to be honest), and exclusively expensive. Starting over $5,000, and topping out over $300,000.
Droid hands on!
Keyboard leaves a little to be desired, but the screen is very comfortable to use. Heavy, but solid. Doesn't feel fragile at all.
Back to the screen, it is responsive, but not like the 5.0 OS Storms or the HTCs. Not os related. Seems to want to scroll when I want to drag.
Feels like an iPhone, with better reception, and a keyboard (even if it feels small and nonresponsive).
I like it, though I'd wait for the HTC Android ...
Re: STORM 2--not in VZW stores
We have several in my store, not sure if you're going to a corp store or not.
In store is a MIR, pricing is the same. Support your local store, so that VZW will hopefully give us a better commission payout, before the good people leave for better paying jobs, and you're left with people that are more worried about the latest txt, than your needs!
Irony much?
The site is blocked internally here at VZW. Lol
Re: Log in issues.
I can't get the login bars to show up in the BB browser.
IE is a corporate issue.
I downloaded Bolt, and it works normally. I'm not sure if an other BB users are having this problem.
Log in issues.
Hey, I'm having issues logging in using Internet Explorer, and BlackBerry web browser. Is there an maintenance going on? I had to use opera...yuck.
People still use the Sidekick?
I would have thought that most users would have moved to real smart devices by now. Not a slight, but the Sidekick is very limited next to a smart device.
Re: HTC TP2
We had a case that was sent by mistake early on, but we had to return it. :( I was going to buy one too.
Re: Imagio, say it ain't so...
Not according to the emulator. :?
Imagio, say it ain't so...
Only 128 MB of RAM and 256MB of storage... :(
A phone this awesome should have at least the same hardware as the TP2. /;|
Phone updates Touch Pro 2, Imagio etc...
Touch Pro 2 remains direct fullfillent only through OCT.
Imagio launches through direct fulfillment on the 6th, other channels on the 20th.
$299.99 - $100 Mail in rebate on each, so no price changes.
Barrage is $129.99 after $50 MIR. 23rd Through fulfillment for camera version, 21st for noncamera.
Didn't read the blurb I see....
You need OS v4.6 or higher, or a hacked ROM.
Re: tilt screen
Extremely. It's actually a little stiffer than I would have liked, but it does feel like it can take a spill or two without breaking.
Capacitive
There you go.
Please show me where...
I mentioned anything about the Omnia 2 before now.
But, since you asked:
The Omnia should have better reception, battery life may be weaker, as specs have it arriving with a smaller battery. Based on the Rogue, which has the same screen, I would expect response to be wonderful and quick.
Care to continue down the path of "douche"?
Re: Pictures of the Motorola Barrage V860
I like the look of the 750 to be honest. Had they water proofed it, it would have been a monster.
Am I the only one...
That get's a kick out of TITRI as an acronym?
Re: First impressions....
Not out of the box. It requires other software. I'm not a Mac user, so it's never been of concern to me.

Here's a scary one...
It looks like VZW will be ready on launch day. 8O
Except...
That the Touch Pro 2 is out, and most of us have handled the phone by now, after D-Filling them.
Re: OMNIA 2 or Touch Pro 2?
Haven't held the Omnia 2, and I don't have an official feature list, however, two obvious things things: harware keyboard and Wifi, and I think global functionality, all in favor of the Touch Pro 2.
Having used a VZW Touch Pro 2 now, and compared it side by side with my Touch Pro (Alltel), I can say that the TP2 is an excellent device. HTC found a way to make the phone a little more special, while using ...
Ok then...
My BlackBerry, Touch Pro, E815, etc. has been able to do MMS since day one, and all of them can do things the iPhone can't, like work reliably, and have their batteries changed by ME, etc.
Seriously, the iPhone isn't all that. Outside the multi touch screen, I can't think of much the Touch Pro/2 Diamond/2 can't do.
You've never heard of Vodafone, have you?
Really, go back and re-read my post, then go check out vodafone.

Re: Any Skyfire updates yet?
There you go, using logic again.
So, your argument is more a shot a VZW, than a factual point.
Nice to see you made that clear.
Oh, and the kitchen sink is thrown at them too. Usually so they won't come back.
Yes, he can.
For a while, people have knocked on the VZW smartphone selection as being either a BlackBerry or an Omnia. Now, with the additions of the Ozone, Touch Pro 2, the TWO new Android devices, it's a whole new ballgame.
Let's check off what people want:

Good selection of smartphones - Check

I am certainly not someone thrilled about the company I ...
4th Q is going to be huge.
Omnia 2, Storm 2, Android, etc.
Re: Honoring Agreements?
No, you broke your contract, or your word. The ETF is the penalty for that. What you're proposing is false churn, or fraud. It causes issues with revenues, reporting to shareholders, and stock prices, as well as our ability to earn a bonus.
Since you're willing to do those things, I suggest you move your entire account to a company that I'd love to see the stock drop for, AT&T. I'd personally rather deal with customers ...
Re: HTC Touch Diamond (Alltel)
You can skin it, but I'm not positive that you can install Android. It's feasible, the hardware will support it, I think, but I don't think it's going to happen.
TF3D was excellent on the Diamond, what kind of problems are you having?
Re: Anybody have any idea when fast charging is going to come to cellphones?
Problem is with current battery tech, and charging tech. The faster you charge the batteries, the more you risk a fire or explosion.
Contact charging looks like the next big thing, rather than rapid charging.
Re: Sync problems
May be a deffective device. Have you tried your old phone, and changing out the USB cables?
VZW customers are demanding...
And whiney. Seriously, "YOU" are not God's gift to the rest of us, shut up and que.
