Droid X Inventory Issues

So when is the last time you received any of these handsets? I got 5 the week of launch and have not received any since. BTW, my company just won the award for highest smartphone mix in the Central Texas region.

If I am not getting any, who is? And why?

Oh gee, that sounds like the Evo. Each store got just a couple, and now we're all wondering when they are coming in and who exactly is getting them when they do...

I haven't been able to get a single one. However I ordered one at 6PM Thursday night from the Verizon Wireless website and got a shipping notification Sunday afternoon. How unfair to us.

They gave us the line that they are being distributed based upon sales quality. So based upon that I should be getting something right? I mean I have the plaque and everything showing top smartphone mix in this region.

Very frustrating considering they are still hammering away with the TV ads.

I honestly don't understand how that type of system works. Maybe for Premium Agents that's how they do it? I know for me as a standard agent they never just ship inventory to me. I have to order it on the WOW/Dymax website and they just simply haven't been available.

The local Corp. store has been out since launch day, and they aren't due to get any until 8/11!

Corporate stores will not have this phone in stock on 8/11. It may never get back to the store. They are 2 - 3 weeks out on orders. Unless the Droid 2 sells really well, the back orders will continue.

The funny thing is they really aren't 2 to 3 weeks out on sales. I ordered one online last week on Thursday and it shipped on Monday. Ordered another over the phone last Wednesday and it shipped this Tuesday.

We have had very little trouble getting them in stock. I work for a premium retailer in Illinois. The corp. stores have all been out of stock, but we have had them pretty consistantly

The shipping times have changed. Also each area is different depending which warehouse the phones are shipped from.

And it allows the carriers to reduce overhead costs, by ordering only what is paid for already, rather than have stuff
sit around.
