Activation Question.
Before I get this phone, someone explain how to activate it? Just cal 228? With or with out the sim card in it? I've been reading differant forums and a few people have had issues activating.

WEll I ordered it. Pain in the butt to order though. The person I got on the phone had never placed a phone order before. Took 45 min to complete. I just paid for it, didn't bother with puting it on the next bill any way.

I've Always been able to put my up graded phone on next months bill.
But in January & Febuary I made payment arangments. It was where we were helping my sil who's fighting double liver cancer and we helped her with some of her medication's. Which is neither here nor there with verizon.
I honored the payments. Not disconnected.
But towards the end of the next billing cycle I'm thinking of buying the htc thunderbolt. All though I'm looking ...

Basically Thier explaining my bill in details that I just didn't understand.
I have no desire to end my contract with verizon. The start up costs with a new company, new phones, new contract, and also paying a month in advance. Then paying my etf to verizon. I like my credit rating, it keep's me in a home & cars. So the financial cost of this is more than I'm willing to go through.

Thank You for explaining in such detail. I do understand alot more now. And never paid any attention to when I upgraded, wether is was in the middle or end of the cycle. But will pay more attention now. :D

The Woman I talked to didn't know the answer, she had to ask someone else. Then relay the info to me. So unless there's more to it that she didn't know. Yes, I have to end my contact early.

I've been reading about tiered pricing also. Most every tging I read makes me think that only 3G contacts wil be "grand fathered" in. So I wonder what the requirements will be to be grandfathered in though? If it would be with settling for 3G? I don't have 4G in my area. I just want the best up grade, at the best price. & 249.99$ is better than full price of 800$. & Ill be a step ...

March 17th according to phone scoop. Phone scoop also says voice plan minimum requirement is 39.99$ and the data plan is 29.99 required minimum :)

I'm elegable for an upgrade, so I'm ditching my fascinate. I've waited and asked and waited more for an update. But none comeing. No reason for me to throw good money after bad. I'm not gettong another samsung product.

The lap top that goes with the atrix phone, is that exclusive to the atrix? Will they have one for the bionic? I hope. It would be nice to throw away my cords! No more digging for them, leaving them at the office, then buying a second set.
Maybe that's something the tablets can add?

Maybe I misunderstood them about the upgrade? My upgrade was not supposed to be until July. But I qualify fior an early upgrade. So then when would that expire? Well if the bionic comes out March/April/May, I'll still qualify.
Seems like work AT&T already putting out some nice phones, verizon would be pushing for quicker release.

I Don't like this game of not upgrading phones just creating new ones. Like iphone 1,2,3,4 ... And I think samsung is planning on doing the same thing. My fascinate is stuck with 2.1.

I'm eligable for an upgrade soon. Verizon offered me an early upgrade to iphone. Theres not enough difference between my fasconate and I phone to bother with it. So I'm waiting because I'm really eligable this June. I'm going they will have 4g and more to the point 4g in my area.

I researched some on the internet. There seem to be a lot to chose from.
Which one is the best though? And the easiest? Will I have to hook my phone up to my lap top to root it? And how long does it usually take to root a phone?
My reg. Internet is slow and my lap top is old.

Whst Is this symbol?
I Did the update from samsung on my fascinate. Now I've got a new symbol on my phone. It looks like two triangles with lines in the center. I've seen it before, on the older smart phones. But can't remember what it's for. It's not blue tooth. It's verizon service. It's just driving me nuts trying to remember.

I Got some kind of up date. But the settings still say 2.1 update 1. I've got some new symbol at the top oid the phone near where it says 3g.
