Motorola RAZR V3i / V3t / V3e / V3r

Quick question. My work bought me the V3 to use and I have found when I go on the net it is slower than my MPX220, and it does not allow me to go to other sites unless I do a yahoo search for it first. I know the former is a smartphone but still I would think the V3 would atleast load just as fast.

Wow- this is the quietest I see this forum! Anyone have any news as to the release of this phone for Cingular. I spoke to them and the only news I got was the end of May. I guess when I go back it will be the end on June.

Wikipedia says that Motorola announced it would be released by cingular on the 27th. Anyone can confirm this? I really need a phone this week and it would be cool if it came out on the 27th.

I have this phone, and I didn't pay much more than what Cingular will charge for it, if they release it.

It was simple to install the latest flex, flash, and language pack, and it was easy to program for Cingular.

It's an overall a better phone than V3.

Does anyone know if the unlocked version of the new RAZR V3i will work with the old AT&T service?

It is my understanding that old AT&T service users are not using the same towers as actual Cingular customers. I do not want to switch to Cingular since it will be a downgrade of my plan but I would like be able to use the V3i.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you know like in Sony Ericsson's Wseries where ur only using it as a mp3 player and nothing else so battery lasts longer?

Now that the V3i comes in all these new fancy colors, anyone know where I can buy the Dark Blue V3i? I know it officially isn't out yet, but I am sure there are reputable online merchants that sell them. Any suggestions?

I have read through the forum, but I am still having trouble...I checked the other sites mentioned too...

My problem is the web sessions for the V3i

I have a V635 that worked fine with the OTA transmissions...media net works just fine, MMS, SMS etc.

I did the OTA for Media Net and for MMS, but I cannot get a home page to load ("file type not recognised" message). I have the Express and the Cingular MMS listed in the web sessions menu (from the OTA installations).

I tried a web page (mobile.msn.com) and that loaded (from the go to url on menu).

So how do I get a home page (is there an address to manually store for media net?)??

I would also like AIM on the phone, which I thought was possible...

For all you waiting for Cingular to release this phone you can stop waiting. It will not be released. Just buy an unlocked one. Your better off anyhow. Why would you want to buy it from Cingular anyhow. Then its useless with any other GSM carrier.

Hi, now i see that alot of people were having trouble getting the browser working for cingular, but i need the browser configuration for tmobile to get the tzones/tmobile homepage. I really do not feel like calling tmobile because ill end up being on the phone with them for an hour or 2 until they tell me they cant help me... if anyone can give me the configuration to TMOBILE browser thatll b great!

Got a RAZR software question/frustration..

What if I wanna store some sort of information along with a phone number in my address book? Like, a friends extension at work. His number is 510-455-4555 and his extension is 3434. Seems like a pretty standard thing that my old phone had. Theres no place to put that in the RAZR, is there?

theres so much room for this phone to save info and its software simply doesnt allow it. Any tips? links to helpful sites?

Hi, now i just purchased my v3i on ebay!!! i am so excited,,, but the only regret i think i mite have is the video record quality,,, i heard that it was just like the v3 quality ( which wasnt the greatest),,, is the quality of the video recording improved or what?

I talked to one of our (Cingular's) spokespeople for Motorola today at lunch, and saw she was using the V3i. I asked her about it and if there was a tentative release date. Both she and the other rep there stated that they wanted it launched yesterday (not actually, but figuratively) but that Cingular was still testing the phone and that they hope to have all testing finished for an around a month and a half from now release date (mid May) so not as soon as some have quoted (May 1st) but not as late as others (Never). I was happy to hear this info as I've been waiting for this phone, and just wanted to pass the info to those who have been waiting for some better information that the "rumored" releases on this site.

Good morning everyone, I just purchased, and I was very happy doing so my new V3i, however I am at the point of sending it back, selling it on ebay, whatever it takes and get something that works.

My problem is this:

Loading in the Motorola Tools, there were conflicts with windows xp home edition. I finally got it to load, now it will not load the driver for the Motorola USB Modem, it fails everytime. It states it does not have a digital cert.

Is there anyway around this?

If there is, will this phone sync with outlook?

If there is no way around this, what do you recommend as a phone that truely syncs with outlook, speaking of contacts only.
