I want to buy and will use exclusively for my T-Mobile service.

Any comments or opinions would be sweet!

Thanks--

I am on T-Mobile. I was kinda in the same boat. I went with V3i instead of V3x because V3x doesn't have the 850 on it... at least as far as I know. Awesome phone all I got to say. I had a razr v3 and samsung t809 before. V3i is best of both worlds great rf and awesome features. plus u are not going to be able to use video calling of V3x in the US. Go with v3i

I had the same phones as well! The t809 which was nice but too plastic for my tastes and captured way too much dust. Also now carry a silver V3 which I use for T-Mobile but need something fresh and your imput has helped me decide to upgrade to a V3i and I thank you bro!
Plus the charcoal is a cool look and the text msg has improved correct?! Anyway Rock on!

good Choice. like a said t809 is a really good phone but around where I live (Down East Maine) we roam on Unicel Alot and for some reason t809 doesn't really like to pick up 850 towers and battery life on it is pretty bad but the screen is the best I 've seen so far. I am really happy with the v3i so far, great Rf every where I go and features are up to date as well. Good luck. and thank you for being a part of T-Mobile!!!

That's my next question. How do you take an unlocked model and get T-Mobile Video such as T-Zones to work on a V3i..? That is of most importance. Thanks-- Rock

I also have the same question as to which phone to buy (V3i vs V3x). Does the V3x have itunes? it appears some of the features of the V3x have better specs (such as a 2 meg camera vs 1.2 megs and "advanced speaker-independent voice recognition" (what is this as opposed to the voice-activated dialing on the V3i). Lastly, I understand that better specs don't necessarilly mean a better phone. So again, which is the better phone?

Here is the main issue:

The V3x is European Tri-Band Dual-Mode 3G capable. It can hit off our 1900 MHz towers, but for the 850... you can't pick it up. Not to mention that the UMTS in Europe is on the 2100 MHz frequency, a frequency not even in use for cell phones in the USA.

Almost all V3x's on the internet are Vodafone branded, with Vodafones stupid looking UI. While it does have the Speaker-Independent Voice Dialing (which is the one button push system where it says "Say a Command" and you go from there to do almost anything, voice activated dialing just lets you say a name and it calls them) and the 2.0 MP camera, it will be very ineffective in the USA.

The V3i... however, is lacking any 3G (you couldn't use the V3x's 3G in t...

theoratically the x is better than the i, BUT the real Q is what works where? Video conferencing and other features are cool but they wont work here on cingular. And so the cingular version of the i which will b released soon is gonna b cool but hey, we're not in Europe where all these phones w cool features really work

I think the most important feature for me is voice dialing. The use of this feature will be most important while driving. I need to preface this by saying that I have a convertible and most of the time, the top will be down (hence increasing road and wind noise). I currently use the Shure Quiet Spot Boom headset with my Samsung SGH V205 (this is the best headset for this application as it keeps the road and wind noise to a minimum better than any other headset I have used. Now unless there is a good bluetooth headset for the RazR that will do just as good of job (for which I have been told no by some local dealers), I will continue to use my Shure headset (with an adaptor) with either the V3i or V3x (hopefully the adaptor will work well ...
