For all you waiting for Cingular to release this phone you can stop waiting. It will not be released. Just buy an unlocked one. Your better off anyhow. Why would you want to buy it from Cingular anyhow. Then its useless with any other GSM carrier.

if most of us have Cingular, why would we care if it's useless with another carrier?

why would i just say that???? the phone has been on this site for months now under a tentative status. why would cingular( ATT WIRELESS) take so long to release this phone? please sit down and explain this to me? most likely they are having issues with something and dont want to release the phone to the public yet.

you're full of crap. verizon also takes its sweet old time putting out new phones. do you want to know why? who in the hell knows. sometimes its business related, sometimes its technical issues. when it boils down to it, they'll release the damn thing whenever they want to. my theory is: they want to sell off most of the old razr's before they put out the newer model.

Tell me, think for a second, who wouldn't pay 50 bucks more for a flip phone, that is newer, that looks just as cool..... with 2 screens, think about it, and a mega-pixel camera, no one wouldn't , except alot of people... 🙂... but point said, Cingular wont realease a phone that will cut all there rap for the SLVR...

Yeah that's my theory. And it is a good one. The V3i is basically a better SLVR. Most likely will have better reception, it's flip, and has a powerful camera.

Cingular probably wants to exhaust all energy of the SLVR before releasing this powerhouse.

I dont get what the guy at the top of the thread said. He said it would be "usless" with any other carrier. That makes no sense at all. I have T-Mobile and it will work fine with my service, especially in CA. where Cingy is giving back its 850Mhz spectrum to T-Mobile.

I think the previous poster was right, Cingular will wait (IF they release it, it may go to T-Mobile & Cingular) in order to push sales of that god-forsken PEBL and the semi-cool SLVR (if it only had a megapizel camera and EDGE. (sigh),

Haha, thats a good one. I just talked to our local Motorola rep at Cingular today. She says motorola was pushing to have it released by now, but Cingular has been heavily testing it and the hope to have testing done in aproximately a month and a half. Do your research before making a post. I did.

All you need to say is....Cingular has never once released any release date information for the general public, ever! There are no delays for phones since this is the case.

more times then not its just someone thinking they know everything and then cry to the world when things dont go there way!

Pricing, testing, production and shipment all go into how fast a phone makes it to the market....Its a shame most people dont realize this before bitching about something that they dont have a clue about!
