The N75 competition may be on its way?

I said earlier that if the N75 is not out soon then I may have to look elsewhere for my needs. Well the N75 competition may be on its way. I had mentioned before Cingy had new HTC phones approved and coming, well it could be the successor to the 3125 flip. While not as stable as the Symbian OS it may still fill all the needs I am looking for. 3G surfing HSDPA, Pop3 Email, HTML, MP3, Micro Card, Camera, Even GPS reportedly and more.
I do have the 2125 and love the phone the only thing is it is not a flip and I prefer Flips so I can toss them in my pocket and not worry about hitting keys by accident. The contacts on the 2125 are some of the best and most user-friendly I have seen on a cell phone and the Calendar is just like using Outloo...

Can you hear me now?

A whole front page of new phones coming out on CDMA???? And we have to play the waiting game for eight monghts for a phone that will most likely never come out, and then they tell us the n95 is coming out but will probably also never see the light of day????? Time to switch I guess.... By the way I work for verizon and my friend works for cingular/AT&T/Bell South/etc. and his nokia source said the n75 is most likely not gonna be released through cingular but maybe through agents. Whatever that means...

BAD NEWS PLEASE READ...........RUMOR ALERT

(THE FOLLOWING IS HEAR SAY AND THERE FOR A RUMOR IT IS NOT FACT, THOUGH THERE IS SOME PROOF, IT IS STILL CONSIDERED RUMOR)

My cingular rep came by to let me know that he thinks that the N75 may now be post poned indefintely, it has been taken off the price sheets for April, and though was supposedly on the website for a short short time was taken off as well, so now there is no SKU for it, its also been taken off the new rebate forms. So he's thinking Cingular/ATT backed out and now will not ever be carrying this phone, also they are aproving the n95 for cingular, so he thinks why would they release the n75 when the N95 is better....if this is true then i don't know

9300 redux?

This is like ancient Egyptian history in cell-phone years, but this whole thing reminds me strongly of the Cingular 9300 fiasco. Nokia shipped the 9300 in Europe in 2004; during 2005 Cingular ran print-ads touting the 9300 as "the most anticipated device of 2005!"; then it was DEFINITELY going to ship November 2005. It finally started shipping around Spring 2006, and included hardware modifications presumably mandated by Cingular.

WHAT DOES COMMING SOON MEAN???

In my desperation to find answers as to when the N75 would actually be released i called Best Buy Customer Care, figuring as a respectable retailer they would have knowledge as to when they would be reciving said phone, considering it is posted on their website as comming soon. The Lady i talked to was about as helpful as a Brick. She informed me it would be avaible in a few weeks. and when i asked in a desprate voice, How many weeks was a few, considering 4 weeks is a month, she said she had no idea, But did say Best Buy means soon when they say it, so a few weeks it will be avaible to them........###king pointless, but at least she was truthful. and now for speculation..

(THE FOLLOWING IS ALL SPECULATION AND NOT FACT IF YOU TAKE WHAT IS...

Question

Can somebody please tell me why, whenever I see a phone on here that is "coming soon" to verizon, sprint, tmobile, etc...It comes out within a month. But anytime I see a phone that is "coming soon" to cingular, not only do I never see this phone, but they seem to release a cheaper crappier version? Is Cingular/AT&T just trying to see how far behind they can fall before verizon buys alltel?

March 23rd 2007

My Cingy Rep came by today to let me know they were going to release today then postponed the 6126 to a later date. He's been told they have decided to release it the same day as the N75 which hes been told is March 23rd. so Cingular will have 2 new Nokia's to satisfythe public outcry. A medium flipphone, and a smartphone. As we all know this all could be bulllshit, but it does kind of make since. He also said it will be sold for 250.00 at the stores with a mail in rebate of 50 bucks, and less with Best Buy and the Website. which from the earlier post seems to be confirmed. anyways just thiought i'd let you all know

N75 Due at N-E on April 15, 2007

This morning I checked Negri Electronics, and the ETA was March 22, 2007. I just checked the page again, and wouldn't you know it, the N75 has been delayed again!

Here's their new message:

This product will be in stock on Sunday 15 April, 2007

Delay due to NFC?

Ok, I know this post will be a bit out there, but bear with me. I know that Cingular has been involved in trials with NFC technology and from what I understand, it was pretty much a great success. I also know that the 6131 (my phone - aka the 6126 and the 6133) has been upgraded with NFC for some of the trials.

Suppose Cingular now wants to get into this in a big way, and says to Nokia: we will release the 6126 and the N75, but we want them modified to include NFC, and they will be the flagships of our NFC system which we'll roll out in May. That could account for the delay, right? Also, since NFC uses an unregulated portion of the spectra (13.56 MHz) they shouldn't have to get reapproved by the FCC, or would they?

Here are some l...

GPS mapping solution on N75

Here's a request: if it's possible, if any one of you gets the N75 and gets smart2go or any other mapping program (wayfinder, GMM, yahoo go!) working with a bluetooth GPS, would you mind writing up a little how-to/review?

I've got my 6131 hooked up to my On Course bluetooth GPS using wayfinder and have found that functionality very useful indeed.

PS, I bought my On Course BT-GPS+WAAS from buygpsnow, and am really happy with it - you'll see my review. If you buy there, don't forget to use coupon code AXgps.

I got to play with an N75 Today. WOW!!!

Today I got to play with the elusive N75 and WOW!! Is all I can say? The phone never had a SIM card in so I pulled my card out plugged it in and I was very happy at the data rate and the features on the phone.
All we need now is for Cingular to get the phone to the stores. I was told before that Cingular is coming out with a Nokia Phone Last Week of March First Week of April. Let’s hope it is this phone. The phone keys Screen and internet were just awesome. Only thing I never checked was Pop3 Email. It had nice weight and was really up market. Price Point I was told $500 to buy $2-250 for 2 year deal. It really is worth it IMHO and I was thinking of getting a Treo or Blackjack and I know they have some downfalls. Only Q will be no...
