Today I got to play with the elusive N75 and WOW!! Is all I can say? The phone never had a SIM card in so I pulled my card out plugged it in and I was very happy at the data rate and the features on the phone.
All we need now is for Cingular to get the phone to the stores. I was told before that Cingular is coming out with a Nokia Phone Last Week of March First Week of April. Let’s hope it is this phone. The phone keys Screen and internet were just awesome. Only thing I never checked was Pop3 Email. It had nice weight and was really up market. Price Point I was told $500 to buy $2-250 for 2 year deal. It really is worth it IMHO and I was thinking of getting a Treo or Blackjack and I know they have some downfalls. Only Q will be no...

$250 WITH a 2-year contract?! Wow, since this phone is not really all that more advanced than the Sync or KRZR, I was really hoping it would be similar in price ($50 with a 2-year)..

$250 is iPhone territory for me..

Are you sure about this price?

I am only the messenger with price the exact comments were "I believe the price will be"
Try a Sync, Razr, or Krazr they do not compare. I had a V3xx for 3 weeks and returned it. The Sync NEVER even made it out the store for me. The IPhone is Edge simply put it is YESTERDAYS technology with Data. Simply put you can't log on to the net and talk at the same time. With 3G you can.
My opinion for me it is worth the wait. I if the data service is priced right.
I will tell you it was way cool

We will soon forget about the wait. There is no competition for this phone. I disagree with those frustrated folks that say this phone is already a has been. It is still out in front; loaded with new tech & features. I don't care if it is $250.00. Price an IPOD, a Camera, a phone and consider web & email speed. It's a deal. Only my opinion. Hang in there.

Dude, are you on something?!? 😳

I mean, what makes a phone "advanced" for you? Fun lights? 😁

Lemme see...
Can you read a PDF file on the SYNC/KRZR?
Can you run TomTom nav proggy on the SYNC/KRZR?
Can you install any applications that can access the phone's file system on SYNC/KRZR?
Can you bear watching the videos you take with the SYNC/KRZR?
How about picture quality?
How about the crappy sound quality through cable if you DON'T want to use a $100 stereo BT headset?
How about REAL streaming videos on the SYNC/KRZR (not the CV crap)?
And I could go on and on...

For a start the KRZR is not 3G go try it and see you can't talk and surf. This is a SMARTPHONE. If you are looking to compare look at the Blackjack, Treo, etc. Or the 2125 and 3125 they are closer to a comparison. again NO 3G on theose.
The Contacts and Calender on the SYNC and KRZR phones are JUNK. It also loads xHMTL not just WAP and has so many other benifits to it.
Try going to another country and see what is available. The problem is with most they run 3G on 2100 which is unavailable in the US so in short this is the ONLY smartphone devise on the market. The rest, CINGY calls them PDA's Like I said before we will have to see how Cingy hits us for Data Fees.
But go take a look play with an N73, N80, N91 or any of this phones cou...

Somebody had too much caffeine. My daughter has been thru 3 razr's & my wife has a sync. They are good phones, but neither of these phones can come close to the reception I get with my cheaper Nokia. Any Cingular employee will tell you Nokia performs better on their network than any other brand. Everybody wants certain features in a phone. The N75 (w/st blu tooth)exceeds my needs. There are a lot of people waiting on this phone that agree.
(if it ever comes out)

Just my 2 cents....My understanding is that Sony Ericsson phones perform the best on Cingular's network as far as reception goes, and that Nokia is a close 2nd. Yes, I know that SE doesn't have a 3G phone offered on Cingular, but the W810 is still a hell of a phone. Still...I am ready to get a N75 in my hands to see how it feels, and check out it's OS.

Um, this phone doesn't compare with the Sync or RAZR. The N75 is a smartphone which would allow you to install and run S60v3 Apps. The Sync or RAZR could not do that last time I checked. Given that the phone is late (was due Q4 last year) they should sell it for $150. but I doubt it will happen.

$250 is iPhone territory to you? Are you serious? Did you know that the 4GB iphone will cost double that?

I'm just saying if you use PhoneScoop's compare feature, and compare the N75 to the Sync, on a features basis, they're basically the same phone.

Having usually received money back after rebate for the latest phones, yes, $250 is iPhone territory, as anything >$0 becomes a "splurge" when compared to getting a free phone or cash back for a phone (which has always been the case for me). The KRZR and Sync are both $0 on Amazon right now, so $250 out of pocket for S60 is not worth it imo.

I admit it seems like alot of money, I myself have never spent money on a phone, always opting to get the free Nokia that was offered at the time, and always being very satisfied. However for an N series clamshell phone with more capabilities then one would know what to with, and not being a PDA phone, 200 seems reasonable, if your thinking not, then go for the 6126 it will sell for a mere 79 bucks, probably cheaper online. its clamshell, mp3player, 1 meg camera, 16 millio9n bit color screen. so buy that phone then and stop complaining about the N75

If you want to compare similar phones the Sync is probably more like the 6085.
The Iphone is even more elusive than the N75 and then you are looking at Apple Vs Nokia for cell phone technology. When you get it in your hands you will see.
I N75 is a smartphone, if the N73 ran the same bands as this phone for data I would be looking at that phone and own it now.
If you are looking at other things in a phone Sync and LG CU500 should be on your list. They both run at 1.8 Meg for Data Cingy only runs at 2.5 right now with a Max of 9-12 Meg and the V3xx runs at 3.6 Meg. If you use MediaNet or Data then that is huge Oh then of course the Iphone (Edge) 284kbs A Snail and when on data service and No phone calls.
I love my IPod but this is terr...

Did Nokia announce a US 3G version of the N95? And the Prada phone looks like its triband(not 850) aka useless..and its LG.. double useless..

Cingy could have done us all a favor and shot for FP1 on the N75 to allow for HSDPA.. a 50% increase over edge is like kind of like being 50% less dead.. it still stinks.. (Ability to do voice and data simultaneously not withstanding) and especially if they were waiting until now to release it..

But I will be buying this phone anyways like I always do..I can't wait..

And there really is no comparison between the sync(ham and egger phone) and krzr(moto junk) and the N75

Sorry think what I sad was a little confusing. I said the Prada is like the Apple already and it may give it a run for the money overseas.
I was told that Cingy approved the N95 so that may mean if they make it US capable. Easy mod over building a new phone.

Not necessarily doubting, but how do you know this? I would take the N95 over the N75 in a heartbeat.

I have a few friends that work within Cingy and Nokia and are real tech rats. Exact comment i got was The N95 was approved by Cingy that does not mean it will be released it just means they feel a demand may make it a viable phone to stock and add to the list. They have had way to many comments to post and most would say Blah Blah In general they have been on the money. But if it does show up look end of this year or early next "By then we will have more choice anyway" I can't remember but they said as many as 10 phones a new HTC, Krzr, Nokia's The 3G Blackberry and some others too.
