i876

gotta love how a phone with a higher number than the 2006 "flagship" model is actually gonna have less features. (i870 minus the mp3 player)

Boost Mobile i740 to Nextel

Hi everyone,
a friend of mine has an i740 that he had with Boost Mobile. But he also has an account with Nextel and wanted to use his Boost Mobile (i740) phone with his Nextel account.
So he put is Nextel SIM card into the i740, but it asked him to enter some code.
Does anyone know what exactly this code is for? I'll try to find out what code this exactly was, but shouldn't the SIM card allow you to use a different phone as long as it is the same technology (iDEN)?
Also, since Boost uses nextel's network, shouldn't it work fine?

Thanks!

You Know You Are a Nextel Customer If...

#1) You upgraded your handset in order to take advantage of ringers 10-12 for calls and VM. 🤣

#2) You believe that life is much too short having to deal with carrying two cellphones. 🤣

#3) You boast to your friends that Nextel had ringback tones way before anyone else ("Please hold while the Nextel subscriber you are trying to reach is located"). 🤣

#4) You are jumping for joy because the new hybrid phones have coverage in ALL 50 states. 🤣

#5) You've ever seriously hurt your foot dropping your cellphone on top of it. 🤣

#6) You answer regular phone calls at home by saying "go ahead". 🤣

#7) You know where every Nextel tower is located, within a 100 mile radius from your home. 🤣

#8. You...

What do you think?

I got a call today from a lady who was reporting her phone stolen, it has been missing for a week. She wanted to get it replaced thru the insurance, when i looked at her account she did not have a phone listed on the account.I looked in the history and it seems that a store rep put dummy equipment on her account on May 16.When i did a search for her phone that had been taken off, it seems that a store rep had activated her phone onto another persons account on the same day it was replaced with dummy equipment.I dont believe that the customer was aware of this...i do believe that this is illegal...

Sprint Deceptive Charges

After switching to Sprint a couple of months ago, I've been repeatedly overcharged, last month by as much as $170 on top of the plan.

Three things I noticed on my bill:

- There is a $37 surcharge on each bill that Sprint claims is from the town I live in - something I never learned it will apply during th e purchase of the plan.

- Some of the calls are a lot longer than I expect them to be as minutes air time. I've noticed that when I am at home, calls would often not discontinue when I hang up, I need to press 4-5 times the disconnect button. I'm thinking - it's either the Razor V3m that's malfunctioning, or the network is set in that way in order to maximize Sprint's profit - either way is rotten.

- I frequently get the "roami...

Question

am I the only person that thinks that nextel got the shaft in this merger? and that if nextel had a few more zeros in the bank account they would have went on with the consensus plan and began getting off of the iden network without merging with the likes of sprint?

ALWAYS A DEDUCTIBLE!!!!!

I just got off the phone with a guy who had insurance for his replacement phone - wasn't that concerned with restricting usage, but wanted to get another phone:

C - Deductible!? why do i have to pay a deductible?

M - Because it's insurnace.....

C - Wait a minute, i pay insurance every month and i have to pay for a new phone to?

M - The deductible is cheaper than full retail price for the phone....

C - (mumbling in background) - how much is the deductible???

M - The insurance will inform you of that...

He finally took the insurance info - but he was grumbling about it as i transfered him to the insurance group -
🙄
i mean DU! correct me if im wrong, any insurance provider requires a deductible - how can people ...

ARGH, some of these nextel reps really anger me

I work as a sales rep a Cingular coroprate store. Lately I have been getting anywhere to from 3 to 8 Nextel ports a day (thats just me, the rest of the reps in my store get the just as often). EVERY SINGLE ONE of them has to go through the seven layers of hell just to get their damn account number. I had to stay an hour and a half past closing because the nextel rep refused to give my customer their account number (this is after he verified her identity with her SSN). We had to be transferred to 4 different departments before someone was willing to give her the account number.

I guess Nextel is pretty desparate to keep customers that they have resorted to simly not letting them port their number.

Dont even get me started on number g...
