It's my personal opinion that forcing a customer into a contractual agreement for the simple act of changing from one rate plan to another is unnecessary & wrong. The provider is out nowhere near enough $ for a customer to change his rate plan to justify a contract extension. Discounting equipment - yes, definitely, there is a significant cost. Signing up new service, yes, there is significant cost in acquiring that new customer. Calling into customer service or going ...

WC gave soome great advice. I would suggest also, whatever provider you choose, get the policy on changing rate plans - going up or down - in writing on official documentation. I personally despise when a carrier wants somoeone to agree to a contract extension for changing a rate plan, not worth it in my opinion, & experience changing rate plans for 2 different companies.

I second the never overdressed thing, however I'd say to wear whatever makes you feel more confident. Test will likely be basic computer skills - remember it's basic - use the most basic steps, not shortcuts, to perform what is requested. Quite possibly offered the job the same day. Answer direct questions with direct answers - be concise, use action verbs, & be confident. If you're good @ talking with people, smart, & have thick skin you should do fine.

I'd love to have the option, but as a 3rd party entity myself I don't have it. When I explain it to customers this way - that I'd love to but don't have the option - they understand about 99% of the time...

All 'round the industry, I firmly believe that front line customer service & sales reps. should be treated in a professional manner & recognized by management as professionals. Words aside, front line reps are not not treated as professionals - though it takes lots of $ to train & replace those who leave. More pay would be nice & is usually deserved - however, if the professionalism aspect would start in training & orientation & then be reinforced by ...

As an addendum, please keep in mind they sell the devices & sign up new accounts - they do not provide continuing customer service after the sale. Also, please keep in mind that the stores for your provider are there for the same purpose - sell devices & sign up new accounts. When you need customer service, please either call the toll-free number or - better yet - sign up for a free internet account to manage your wireless ...

Sounds like it could be fun. You may also try using business buzzwords like "synergy," "metrics," & the like when talking with your co-workers & managers. It's really fun when a group of employees decide they will take a word & run it into the ground... :D

Inphonic = bad news, dishonest rebate policies, stay far away!!! Let's Talk - Ok, take your time to read ALL fine print regarding rebates, etc... For best service I would say to go to a local store or dealer.
