Brute on SERO
Does anyone know if this phone can be used on Sprint's SERO plans? I'm currently a SERO customer and know they won't activate certain phones on this plan.
Re: Multiple Phone Lines
I found out that this phone has a 2nd line capability. It's an added feature starting at 5.99 per month. Basically you can have 2 phone #'s on this phone and all your calls go to one voicemail. This is great if you have a second line and don't want to carry 2 phones.
Multiple Phone Lines
I have the i9 that was delivered today. I haven't activated yet. The owner's manual says this phone supports 2 phone lines, but doesn't go into any setup details. Anyone else know about this feature and use it? I currently have 2 Sprint phones. One for work and my personal one. It would be great to integrate both devices into one.
Re: Vision Compatible?
I got everything set up this morning. I called the Employee Customer Service that includes SERO customers @ 866-250-2221. There was no hold time and the switch over took about 3 minutes.
Re: Vision Compatible?
btw, is there a difference between Vision and Power Vision?
Re: Vision Compatible?
I have the Katana with the unlimited Vision plan through the SERO offer. Is this Vision plan not compatible with the Mogul?
Vision Compatible?
I called Sprint's customer care and they said I HAD to purchase an EVDO data plan to use the internet on the 6800. Is this true? I currently have Vision on my Katana and she said that Vision isn't compatible with the 6800. Help me please... before I spend almost 600 bucks on this phone. Thanks
Re: GSM/Voip Phone
Oh, for some strange reason the phone's display says I'm using Cingular, but I have a T-mobile SIM card in the phone.
GSM/Voip Phone
I bought a the hipi 2300 made by Paragon Wireless off of Ebay for $425. This phone accepts my T-mobile SIM card and I signed up for a VOIP plan for 10 dollars a month that allows unlimited calling w/in my state. I have two phone #'s now. One for T-mobile and one for the VOIP service. Both lines can be active at the same time. The VOIP quality is good. Dual mode phones like ...
Re: SERO+employer discount?
I was convered over to SERO after about 6 months. I had both my voice plan and my data card switched. I also receive a 13% discount through my employer. It's the best cell phone deal on the planet.
Re: is there a gsm phone with voip as a dual mode?
Dlink is coming out with a dual mode phone soon. It was suppose to be out Q1 2007, but that hasn't happened. It's called V-click. I've heard of another one from parawireless called hipi-2300. Neither of these have made it to the market place yet. I contacted both companies and they are still in the testing phase.
Cell phones with VOIP Ability
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was curious about any updates.
Will we have the ability to make voip calls from our cell phones in the near future? This would be a great thing for consumers, but not for the cell companies. I've used voip phones before and they work really well.
Re: Disconnects after dialing
Thank you. I appreciate the info. :D
Disconnects after dialing
After I dial a phone # the phone will immediately drop the call because there's a data session in progress. After I dial the # again it goes through w/no problem.
Anyone else having this problem? Are we suppose to end a data session before dialing?
Thanks
Re: Message Indicator
The message indicator is a bit irritating. It comes on when it's on the charger leaving me to believe I actually have a message. I don't need to know that the phone is charging since there's a cable coming out of its backend!
Re: Speed Dialing & Roaming
I'm having the same problems as you. I don't dial using the touch keypad anymore unless I'm sitting at home w/nothing better to do. Driving and dialing this phone (or any phone) can be a disaster.
Sometimes I'll use the 'Speed Dial' button and scroll down to the # I want to dial. I've also grown familiar with the up,down, left, right buttons for locating recent calls.
WiFi Problem
I can't seem to connect to any WiFi hot spot. Whenever I turn on the WiFi the phone tries to connect to the National Access (#777). Is anyone else having this problem? Any help would be great. Thanks...
Re: Help Finding a site dedicated to the sch-i730
I've been looking for the same thing all day with no results.
Re: GUESS WHAT!!! We figured out the evdo modem issue
i have a feeling that verizon disabled this feature so that the user can't dial into their own network and surf the net. they want the customer to pay for their express network.
Re: GUESS WHAT!!! We figured out the evdo modem issue
i want to use the phone as a modem, but when it dials the # into the modem pool nothing works.
I was wondering if this feature (wireless modem) was disabled??
Re: GUESS WHAT!!! We figured out the evdo modem issue
I see from the menu you can use this phone as a modem from bluetooth or usb, but can i use it as a wireless modem? i'm in desperate need of dialing into my work's network. thanks.
Backlight During Call
When I make a phone call the backlight turns off too quickly. Is there a setting to keep it on for 20 seconds or so?
Remote Control
Here's an interesting question. I tried to make the remote control feature 'learn' my garage remote, but it didn't work. It works great for the TV remotes and so on. Are the garage remotes a different type of signal that can't be learned?
I think it would be cool to open your garage from a cell phone. Perfect for those days that you lock yourself out.
Re: What is up with disabling the Laptop modem functionality???
The Audiovox 6600 did allow modem usage, but the i730's modem doesn't work. I like the i730 better. I have no need for the modem capabilities so it's no big deal to me. It's a shame they would disable a feature for no good reason.
Re: Online Orders
I called this morning and ordered one. The Verizon rep didn't know if it would get shipped today or not. I paid an extra 10 dollars for overnight shipping. I just hope they ship it out today. Keeping my fingers crossed ...
