ringtones

I am used to having NORMAL ringtones on my phone. Can anyone tell me a user friendly way to record my own ringtones or where I can download them for the Q? I tried using the voice recorder but it sounded HORRIBLE

Documents To Go

hey guys, check this one out:

http://www.dataviz.com/products/documentstogo/winmob ... »

I just checked the Word, I created a new Doc create a table and e-mailed it to myself 🙂 just to check how it is gonna look, and it is actually not bad, not bad at all.

So for those on the road and really need a Microsoft Office handy, this is the one, plus, It opens PDF files too, which I am gonna check right now. 😉

Difference Between Silver and Black Q

Are the silver and black Q phones identical except for color or is one better than the other? I am in the process of ordering one or the other and any comments will be helpful.
Thanks.

Extended battery life - What's your experience?

I purchased the Q with the extended battery and still find the battery life to be much less than my old V710 (also had extended battery). I have turned off bluetooth and IR beam.

I decided to measure the actual battery life of a typical day using the timers(Note: you can reset and view the timers under the Call History menu). Interestingly, the phonescoop specs list 240 minutes of talk time with what I believe is the std. battery - this is clearly not possible!

I am down to one bar after only around 80 minutes of talk today with minimal Internet and email use.

What are others experiencing in terms of battery life?

"Sprint q quite on q" i spoke to soon!

i decided to post this update to my review since i cannot edit my previous. after having the phone for almost a month..i have grown tired. shortly after posting my review, all of this phones shortcomings became apparent.

despite my efforts i had many freezes. i had to hard reset twice. this type of device is intended to be ,on some level, sort of your assistant. keeping notes and important events so on and so on. having to do 2 hard resets and losing all of my info, was really frustrating. especially when i had to do it away from home and couldnt re-sync data right away.

the phone became slower and slower. i removed everything i could. put everything i could on my memory card...still the phone was slow...sadness.

the phone was NEV...

Car mount for Q with extended battery now available from ProClipUSA

The company called ProClipUSA finally released version of the car mount for the Q, they used to only have it for the Q with a standard battery.
They finally came out with it for Q's with the extended battery.
I got one myself last week and love it.
no more phone bouncing out of the cup holder when I hit a pothole. Sits nicely on my dashboard out of the way, but still easily in view.

Their not cheap, but their worth it.
You have to get it in 2 parts.
1 to match your vehicle type
2 to match the device you want to mount

Easily install it yourself, no major tools needed.

typically ends up around 60$ around.

Did i give up on the Q too early?

I often wonder if i gave up on the Q too quickly? I settled for the 650 and am 50/50 about. I'm gonna get a second phone soon and I'm considering giving the Q one more chance vs getting a 6700 from audiovox. I'd love some feedback on this.
