Video Mode

I just got the Q and was wondering about the playback quality on the video. i recorded a short video and it's tiny. When you select one of the sample videos, it'll use the whole screen. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Jog Dial

Just bought the new black Q. Love it except for one thing. The side jog dial jumps around while I scroll with it. It's not very smooth. Any feed back would help. Thinking about exchanging it. Still under 15 day warranty.

Does anybody know if the Q has a maximum capacity for mini-SD?

If I recall correctly, when the v710 came out - the phone was limited to a 128 Mb trans-flash card (even though a 256 Mb was available)

Does anybody know if the Q has a maximum mini-SD capacity? I know there are 2Gb mini-SD cards out there - but I don't want to buy a 2Gb only to find out that the Q can't accept anything bigger than 1 Gb.

Thanks.

Question: I want a Motorola Q, but not for internet....help!!!

Ok,

Here is my problem. I would really like to have the Motorola Q for it's organizing capibilites. However, I'm not interested in getting on the internet or using email.

Here is my question. Are there any hidden charges with this phone, if I don't get a data plan?

I've tried calling both the national Verizon number and several local stores; and am getting different answers. Everyone at the National number tells me that because of the way the phone is designed, that it searches for data by itself even without you physically getting on the internet. Because of this, they say I will incur kilobite fees that will be on my bill. Everyone I've spoken to at local stores tell me the exact opposite. That I won't be charged any fe...

Nintendo Emulator killing me- please help

I thought I was smarter than it seems I really am. Been trying to master the NINTENDO emulator and play some zelda for the last 5 days. Its kicking my arse. I have found numerous forum posts on it but each one gives bits and pieces and Ive been tring to put it all together into a comprehensive process.

a great thread i found on howardforums came close. it even advised that the downod for pocket nesterplus from sourceforge wont work. thats one mistake i was making. but I digress.

so heres where Im at- downloaded pocketnesterplus to ny pc, unzipped it, copied to my mini sd card. it opens on the Q, wont open games. try to open the roms I have directy, and get an error message about having no program to open them. Further research r...

Mini SD WIFI for Q?? Please Help!

I read a post that stated you could use a mini SD WIFI card in the Q. Can anyone suggest which brand mini-SD wifi card works? If so, where did you get it? Also, was it simple plug and play? And when you're using it, how do you get the Q to override the EVDO and force use of the wifi card?

NEW BLACK Q ARRIVED . . PICS SOON

And yes Virginia, the dern thing rocks. I've used it for 2 days and Im jonesing for an extended battery, but as I am an avid phonescooper, I expected that. The web is super fast and the menu is simple enough, although it efinitely has a learning curve. Its way sportier than my old 6700 and just as useful. I havent synched any thing yet.

Il be linking some pics later today so stay tuned. the leather case it comes with is functional if not the prettiest thing to look at. I find that I have some questions about it but im going to find the answers if i can and give a full review in another post. Incidentally, Im posting this using the Q right now. How novel.

Slingbox, Mobile TV, Skype, with all ~ Beware

These technologies are all awesome and I dearly love them all, but please be aware if you use any of them on a verizon PDA (or aircard), you are risking your service being disconnected. Verizon considers those activities a violation of the terms and conditions of service and I see people cut off for those activities all the time. Its a little-known piece of the fine print and its available online at the vzw website if you dig enough. Most sales and cust service people dont know about it. they'll even tell you sometimes that those activities are fine. Unfortunately they are mistaken and that information is false. I dont want any of you good people to get bit by this. Good luck!

Is the black Q really better???q

Has anyone used both? whats the verdict? I like the q form factor, but the silver one just seems ridiculously buggy. If anyone has experience with the new black one...let me know.
