LG VX-8100

Hi,

I have noticed that in the SE Wisconsin area (Milwaukee, WI) the service offered by Verizon has dropped in the past month or two. There are more dropped calls, more dropouts. Has anybody else experienced this problem? Verizon was really quite good about a year ago, but one year later it is just not the same. My fiancee and future in laws both have the VX8100 phone and have noticed the same thing.

Hi, what is the easiest way to take mid files already stored on the VX8100 phone and make them ringtones?

I see one way, which is to use SynthFont, load as a midi, then render as MP3. Then use BITPIM to transfer it back to the phone.

I'm surprised that LG did not put a converter on the phone or even accept both formats for ringtones.

ive tried it through bitpim, but for some reason i can only get a certain number of pictures on there. the rest just dont show up.
any help?

i got the usb cable and i know there has to be a way to get online with this phone and my laptop high speed does anyone know how?

Newbie here... I wondered if there had been any fixes for the group limit setting? It's a bit annoying!

😳 This unexpected exception has occurred message just started to pop up when I try to convert MP3s to ringtones.
This just started to happen. I used to download mp3s and then convert them just fine. I do notice that any of the old mp3s I have on my hard drive will convert. If I download a new mp3 and try to convert I will get that " unexpected exception " annoying thing.
Does anyone have a clue what went wrong? I updated my Bitpim to the latest version. Or is it my Limewire that changed something with the downloaded mp3?

trying to put videos/movies on my 8100 but it wont let me convert more then 20 min worth of video. i have the trial version. help me out guys.

Has anyone tried the LG HBM 500 BT Headset? I see it's available from Best Buy.

I keep hearing that there is a possibility of having a new version for VX8100... Does anyone have it? Does it fix the problem of limited get it now applications?

does anyone know how to uncripple the bluetooth block on the 8100? if so please let me know how

Is there any way to get things like maps onto the VX8100 phone? I am talking about yahoo or mapquest maps. I would like to put these on for free. Also, is there any way to install apps on the phone which do not cost any money. I know VZW has some GetApps services which are subscription based. I think this is garbage. There is not even a single game included on the phone. My old Sanyo RL4920 phone from years ago had Crab-Catch.

I downloaded some songs onto my phone with Windows Media Player 10 and this certain cd won't play. I have a 1GB memory card. When I try to play it, a message comes up that says, PLAYER ERROR License acquisition failed. I synched another cd on my phone and it plays perfectly. Can anyone tell me what I can do to get the songs from this cd to play? Thanks a bunch. -Wendy

Hello... i've been trying to find a step by step thread that was on here and can not find it... so i need someone to help me find a step by step guide on how to convert movies so i can put them onto my phone and what kind of program to use....please help thanks...

I have worked with cell phone accessories for almost a year now. I have installed many faceplates and other parts. Someone that worked with me called me and told me a phone (lg vx8100) got messed up in the process of putting it on. I came to look and the external screen is white but it had a very small black dot. I couldn't fix it. Figured air got to the lcd like a crack had been made. Now, the phone external lcd is still white but the dark spot is gone. Everything works fine. Even the internal lcd is ok. Sound fine. Jus outside lcd. Can someone tell me where I can buy one or what I need to do to make it work.

can u make cut of a song and put it on the memory card to make a ringtone and if u can do u know of any softwear or downloads u can do this from?

just a helpful hint to those of you who are accessorising their phones. DO NOT try to replace the antenna it is stationary and not a screw on ,
if you try to remove it you will break it ruining the phone. i learned this the hard way and am sharing it with you so you dont have to. 🙂

Has anyone had any luck getting their 8100 to recognise and use the entire 2GB on a 2GB miniSD card. I have tried a few brands (Generic, OEM and SanDisk) and it seems the 8100 can only use 1GB worth of data. 😢 any help/info/link to a good thread
