LG VX-8100

hey i was wondering if verizonwireless fixes these kinds of things because the port at the bottom of the cell phone is broken... i don't know what to do... i don't want to pay 350$ for a new phone.... and i don't have ensurance. and im not the primary line...im on a family plan...don't know what to do...

Anyone know how to erase "learned" words from the T9 dictionary?

This phone is amazing. Two years later and this phone still outperforms almost everything on the market. I think this possibly was my best purchase, EVER. And for those looking to upgrade, LG has a sweet looking phone coming out. Its a skinny version of the V and its black. Looks amazing.

So I am up for an upgrade in a couple months and was leaning towards the Motorola Q, i have the VX8100 right now and love it, it is a great phone, I am just looking for something new. You know something with more features and so on. Any comments on the Q or any other phones, lets hear them.

Okay, so I'll openly admit i was very dumb and didn't do my homework before trying to customize my 8100 and broke the antenna in attempts to change it. I have managed to rig it to get atleast a little reception but was wondering if anyone else has had any success in repairing this on the phone. The gold connecter piece that was screwed into the board in the phone is what is broken off and gone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i cant decide between the vx8100 or the vx8300 .....i like them both....help me with some suggestions!!

what can you do with this and if you know lead me through steps

I was leaning torward the 8100 the whole time until the threads that I have been reading about the MP3 player. Is it correct to assume that the e815 CAN play mp3 that have been downloaded from a pc into a mSD card, and the 8100 can't? As much as I like LG, if the motorola can be used as a true mp3 player, I may have to go with the 815 ☹️

wat can you do with it besides the cordless ear piece can u do anything with it besides that and how

My "new every two" is coming up and Im wondering what I should get to replace my 8100.
I've really liked it and I'm guessing there is a "better" phone out there since its been two years.

I was attempting to place a call yesterday when my phone tried to turn off. This has happened before, and yes, I know it shouldn't do it but I've been living with it. However, instead of restarting like it usually did it went to the black screen with the Verizon logo on it. It stayed like that so I removed and replaced the battery. Now, whenever I try to turn my phone on, all I get is this black screen with the Verizon logo. I'm gonna take it into Verizon tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone on here had any insight before I throw myself to the wolves.

Hi Folks! I'm looking for the USB modem driver for the 8100. I have searched high and low on the web with no luck. I hope someone on this forum can help me locate the driver. I would be eternally greatful if someone could either point me to a website or email me the driver.

i put ringtones on my friends phone through bit pim, but they somehow erase off of his ringtone list after a day.. why is this, has this happened to anyone else, and what can i do to make them stay?

I found some software on the web to be able to read the bible for cell phones and it is a JAVA application. I want to know how I can install it. I have a mini SD card and the data cable. Does anyone know how I can do this?

So I dropped my phone in the lake when I was getting in the boat last weekend, 10 feet right to the bottom (sinks like a rock!) it was on, and I tried to catch it so it was open. By the time I jumped in after it it had been about 2 min. (and still on) I got it popped the battery out and let it dry for ohh 3 or 4 days. (NOT IN THE OVEN JUST AIR DRY) Put in my extra battery turned it on and started calling! ALL the stuff still works like its brand new! Am I LUCKY or what?

I just got a 1gig card for this phone. I tried to transfer music and only 400mb actually transfered. I used windows media player and at the bottom of the screen it said I had 560mb of free space. I don't get it, it keeps saying there is no space on the card when I try to transfer. also in the manage memory menu it says i have 15000mb of free space but it also tells me the memory is full every time i try to take a pic.
