Buttons

Just a quick question guys, I havent been able to ascertain if the buttons used for dialing are elevated above the keypad or, are they sitting flush with the body of the phone. I ask this because this was one of the major points which has kept me from buying the LG phones, since the buttons are flush against the body, and when dialing you wind up hitting multiple keys.
So, it finality, is this phones keys going to be like the V60, or the LG vx6000.
Thanks

Im sure u all saw the new threads on Hofo but I will summarise for u

According to several reliable (going by their past posts in my opinion) people incl VZW EMPLOYEE, the verizon warehouses in c regions have 6000-10,000 of the 9900,670,7000. The 9900 is shipped on the 30th for release on 6-1 (coincides w email I got from audiovox). The 7000 and 670 will launch 6-15 (date that Verizon launches their video)and the 710 is slated for 6-15, but .....well we'll see. So, by this time next month, we will have 3-4 new video phones to pick from (What Ive been saying all along) and the first one as early as next week/june 1. Yipee Kiyay......

just called them again, and for the 10th time, confirmed that the phones while slated for release on 5-21 and 5-21 is still in their systems, the holdup is w VZW.She said the phones r in warehouse ready to ship but VZW is holding things up for few days maybe to figure out video pricing or whatever, and offered that it might end up being first week of june for the actual phone to hit stores.Never did she ever mention July or late summer or whatever. So call and confirm

Just Called My Local Verizon Store

Alright, I just called my friend who works at the local Verizon store. He got his shipment in from wherehouse today and informed me that there were no V710's on the truck. He told me that the stores have no idea whats going on in terms of release date and basically said that they only find out about the phone and its release date about 3 days before the phone comes out. I asked him about the 9900 and 7000 and he said neither were on the truck either. He told me he would let me know when he got it in on shipment so I could get it as hopefully one of the first 710 (which i doubt will happen with the whole east/west coast time thing). So yea, let me know if youve heard of anything in regards to the east/west coast shift and if they are goi...

sigh..it looks like the sgh-a670 for me...

well with all the hype now turning into disappointment, I think i might choose another phone if this one doesn't come out soon.

Also with all the talk of how big this phone actually is. The previous forum says as big as the 730! I don't feel like walking around with an anchor in my pocket.

Its true Ill miss the 1.2 mega-pixel camera and expandable/removable memory. But what can you do?

Is the V710 huge?

A few people have had a chance to play with the v710 and the first thing they post is that it's bigger than it looks, but it's worth it. Exactly how big are we talking here? - I know the spec dimensions, but that doesn't give me a great feel for the size of the phone. By the way, does anyone know if the 3.7" dimension includes the antenna or not? Thanks.

Question for Verizon reps

I am looking to switch to verizon soon. I want to wait for the V710, but my wife wants to get service now. We want a plan that allows us to share minutes.

If she gets a plan now, and I add my phone on to her existing plan later, can I still get the 2-yr price break on the V710??

Thanks!

Question: Where to buy?

Since my local Verizon Wireless store has absolutely no clue about the v710 or when it will arrive, where should I buy this phone when it finally comes out? Would the best place be Motorola online? I'd like it if I could set up service and purchase the phone all in one fell swoop.. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

710 in Regression testing

๐Ÿ˜ˆ Just so everyone is aware, the reason VZW isn't releasing this phone this month is because Motorola has to fix the bugs that were found during the lab tests. The phone is currently in regression testing, which means it's going back & forth between Motorola & VZW. VZW finds a problem with the phone, it goes back to Motorola for tweaking then back to VZW for testing again. It's in phase 2 of a 4 part testing so depending on how well it does when it gets back from Motorola will dictate when it actually gets released. Enjoy the wait, I know I am. ๐Ÿ˜

Sorry man, but its time to call you out again.

You are a genuine ass dart. You obviously spend more time here than anyone else, yet your post always focus on insulting people for being on this forum too much. You say you're rich and have this phone, and then you say you can't wait to have this phone and you hope it's cheap. If you think everyone here is an idiot (for believing a certain release date, etc...) then why do you spend the most time on this board?

There's some people I'll never understand...maybe its because I don't want to.

So which phone IS coming out?

I was at my local store yesterday. They know I am the "techno-savvy" type when it comes to phones. The lady working the counter said that her technician's boss had been testing out a video phone for some time now. Said that typically when he test phones, about a month later, the phone comes out for sale. She went on to say that the one he was playing with should be "just around the corner". I asked what brand it was and she said she really didn't remember. She did say that this was the best phone the guy has tested. Any clue which video capable phone IS actually about to come out?

Phone Question

I was wondering if anyone knew if this phone will support flash animation. Last year when I was in Tokyo almost all of the phones came with flash compatibility and the animation was so smooth! I hope this phone is flash and not .gif. Thanks for the help!
