The Motorola V710 web site shows a Car Kit with Bluetooth as an accessory (Model 98500/S9642A). Will Verizon wireless offer the bluetooth car kit as an option they will sell??

First, can a second person confirm/deny that the AUG 31st date shows up somewhere in the back of this month's issue of men's health magazine?

I saw the V710 in this month's men's health about in the middle of the magazine in a section called something like "gear" where they were comparing relatively normal gadgets to insanely expensive luxury items. The price for the V710 showed up as $200.

In the context of the article I saw I assumed the $200 was a 'ballpark' price, but it is a lot lower than I expected so that makes me 😁

If the AUG 31st date shows up as well (not confirmed yet) I also would suspect that it is a safe 'ballpark' date ?? Could it be that AUG 31st is the end of the 2nd Quarter '04, and that is what they based it ...

Can someone with more knowledge of Bluetooth help me with this phones features?

I want a bluetooth CDMA phone (as many on this forum do) that has the profile (not sure thats the correct term) that will allow it to be used in a car equipped with bluetooth. There are several cars on the market like this, mine is the Lexus.

The tech page list the "hands free" profile. Is that the correct profile to use in cars? The Sony P900 did not work.

1) Can someone with a camera phone confirm for me about how long it takes to send/receive a picture message? I have never had a camera phone, and I have heard alot of different answers to that question.

2) Does anyone think sending a picture message will take a very long time with the V710 because it has a megapixel camera? I assume you can use a lower resolution if need be?

3) Any problems sending a picture messages of different resolutions to other phones? (ie. if I use a V710 to send a picture to a 8900 do I have to worry about resolution so the 8900 can even view the picture properly?

I agree wit dabigdog.... When i went to verizon and was talking to the guy about it and i asked him about 5/21 he said deff not that the only thing hes heard is they're trying to get it out 2nd/3rd week in june for the summer time consumers since school is out etc.

😛 Everyone like I said a few weeks ago. The Moto V710 has no release date as of right now.

I was advise today by a Supervisor in my center that is testing the phone , that it plans to be out sometime this QTR or early 4QTR.

SO EVERYONE RELAX ITS NOT COMING OUT IN 2 WEEKS OR NEXT WEEK! Just cause someone is testing it doesnt mean its coming out the next week. I cant wait for it to come out myself. Only thing we all can do is just relax and wait. SORRY about that. 😕 😎

Being that verizon did not release the phone today, does anyone know the new release date of the phone? please post it, and stop posting these fake posts

got us all excited, switched course last week w "first or second week of June" so we've known for over a week that 5-21 was not do-able. Hopefully early June is, and if not, then the 9900 or 7000 or 670 will b out for memday weekend since employees of radioshack and VZW claim to have dummy models and accesories of those. Fingers still crossed

I work for a technology content site and today marks the begining of the online ad campaign for the V710. According to the ad agency who works with the product manager for this phone, the phone will be released on July 1.

Considering the campaign runs May 21- June 30 with the click through of the ad sending you to the pre-registration page on the motorola site, this should be all the proof that you need that July 1 will truly be the launch date.

Glad to finally get a straight answer from a credible source.

So many people fricken talk about this phone. If this phone gets as popular, or more popular, than the LG VX6000 i'm going to crap in my pants and throw it at Verizon. Before the LG VX6000 came out, was it hyped up and exciting as this phone(v710)?

A question for those in the know. What's the likelihood that this recent Internet hype for the V710 was a carefully designed plan to create an insane amount of buzz before the official ad campaign begins? I saw a news story about undercover marketers who are regular people recruited by companies to generate interest in a product or service and to drive traffic to certain stores, websites, etc.

for those of you that have used both of these phones, which screen did you like better?

I got to use a 9950 (sprints version of the 9900 for vzw) and it was amazing...
i thought it was a little bulky, but it was also more of a boxy shape...

Everyone just keeps stating when they want the phone to be released, in fact there is no release date given yet, people say there reps of verizon and motorola when there really not..so stop saying all of these things on the forum if you dont know the correct information

I am a Verizon Wireless customer service employee. I just got word that the V710 is on it's way out the factory into our vzw stores by mid June. Hope this helps at all 😁 Unfortunately, even us as employees dont have exact release date info. for most phones, especially this one 😕

I thought this phone was going to be the perfect phone. It will be in everything but its size. I dont want to walk around with a brick bringing my pants down. I thought the LG VX6000/T730 were big, but when they said that its going to be bigger, my excitement just stopped. Its probably going to be like the Samsung I500, a huge phone. Im dissapointed now. 😢

A MOTO rep came into the store today (I work for VZW at a retail store).

He had the 710 and the 810. Awsome phones, should be out by Mid=June he said.
