Nokia 6230

i had a nokia 3200 i loved it but the camera was fuzzy then it got wet and never worked again and water damage isnt on insurance i had it for two months... i now have the nokia 6200 i dont like it its boring now i cant decide the 6620 or the 6230 i like the 6620s looks but i dont know any advise would help

I just got my Nokia 6230 and I love it. However, it came with no accessories. Does anybody know where I can get a cheap bluetooth dongle and headset? Also, where can I buy a cheap and good MMC card?

I'm trying to connect my nokia 6230 to a regular aux port, and I heard that I need some special nokia data cable to do so...I just want to connect my phone to my car stereo so that I can play mp3's. I checked out best buy and radioshack and neither of them had the cord I need.

Anybody know what I need and where to get it?

I've been looking all over the web for this phone since I cannot find it in Las Vegas (if anyone knows of a store, please e-mail me). I can only find the tan/white color 6230 for a good price, and the black 6230 for $200-$300. Does anybody actually own a black 6230, or do you have to buy some new cover for the phone that isn't available through Nokia's website?

I have to say that I am really impressed with the quality of the 6230. The only negative for me is the lack of a robust contact and calender application (standard software is OK but not great). Searches on the internet for 3rd party apps have yielded suprisingly few hits. Anyone have a suggestion. Thx.

Why isn't this phone available through Cingular? I was told at the store it is only available in Hawaii. Anyone know when it will be available outside of Hawaii?

Before I got the 6230 I was using an Ericsson t616. I paired the two phones and found that the Ericsson had the option of browsing my 6230's files but could not find the same option in my Nokia. I read the manual but couldn't find any mention of it in the bluetooth section. Is this phone not able to browse the files of paired devices?

..cause I'd really love to steal my friends' phones in the future and set my phone to auto-pair and then steal crap from their phones and replace it with hard core porn.

I know a few people mentioned having a hard time with this- but I honestly cannot get it off. I press the silver button down and I have tried sliding it, lifting it straight up..... it is not even budging a bit. I know this is so lame but can someone give tips on how to take this cover off? Thank you.

The first batch of 6230s that Nokia sent out has the wrong e-mail program installed on it. This is nothing that Nokia or Cingular can actually fix. If you are having these problems, it falls under manufacturers warrenty and Cingular will replace it through XBM for free. The Exchange By Mail number is 1-800-801-1101.

😈 I've never listened to MP3s on a wireless device and am curious of their quality. Is the bitrate 128k like most players or less? Any accessory headphones that have a good base. Just curious of its player quality.

Amazon carries Nokia models for Cingular, but not the 6230 yet. Anyone know what the usual time delay is for Amazon to sell new models?

Does anyone know if the 6230 will it work with my AT&T SIM and service? How would I buy a Cingular phone for an AT&T service plan?

I bought my 6230 straight from Cingular 2 weeks ago. I tried my T-Mobile sim in the phone and a works. Made a few calls, didn't try T-Zones cause it isn't setup. I was curious if anyone else who bought one from Cingular got it unlocked? Thanks in advance.

I always see these acronyms pop up together and my impression was that MMC is the same as SD. If that is the case, then why does Nokia list the 6230 as expandable with MMC cards and not SD? And also everyone in this discussion also refers to them as MMC? Can someone please shed some light on this subject for me? I want to use this phone with a high-capacity SD card that I got for my digital camera so I can load music onto it. TIA.

I'm confused about what memory card can be used in the 6230. I know it says MMC but a lot of manufacturing sites seem to indicate SD works for MMC cards.

Can I use SD cards *OR* MMC cards in my 6230?

Bluetooth,FM radio(headphones needed), Video camera, camera(4x zoom), comes with 32MB MMC card, speakerphone, and weighs like nothing. Pictures are stored on the card as JPGs and movies are stored on the card as 3GS(no idea).

1. Does anyone know how to adjust the keypad's light (I need it last longer)? we can't change it, can we?
2. How to connect bluetooth to the phone( I borrowed my friend's Motorola HS810 Bluetooth, but I could not connect it to my phone. Even though, he turned his cell off)?

Cingular seems to only have the silver color. Does anyone know if the graphite/charcoal color is available anywhere? I've looked for both the phone and covers but can't seem to find either. I want to buy this phone as it looks on this site. Thanks.
