contacts

I want this phone, but I was wondering about contacts. With a motorola I had, you'd hit 'send' and it would show a list of the last 10 #'s you called, and quickly hit send again to call the last # or scroll down and hit send. The phone I have now you either hit send and it calls the last # or you have to go to menu, contacts, start entering a name or # (doesn't even show a list to scroll through). Other than voice dialing, how quick/conveniant is it to call contacts? Thanks!

Great price, anyone in VA?

For anyone not minding a 2 year contract, amazon.com offers the phone for $50 after rebates. $380 - a $150 sprint rebate for 2 year contract, and - $180 amazon rebate (1 or 2 year contract), making the phone only $50, and you sign up for a plan and other options there as well. I am seriously considering this option, but last time I had sprint pcs, about a year ago but with an older phone, service was horrible and i missed tons of calls. If anyone has service in Virginia, especially western Virginia, please contact me, I'd like to know if service has improved.

SILVER 4500

Just a quick heads up for everyone waiting for this. I'm surprised no one has posted it already. But I ordered the Silver 4500 on Thursday the 26th. They are very much in stock. Or they were. Give Sprint a call to see if they still have them or if they sold out. As far as stores are concerned, I don't really know, but everytime I speak to someone at a Sprint store they seem to be clueless that a silver version even exists. I am confident that the stores will get them, but some time after Sprint direct.

They told me shipping is $5 UPS and will arrive in 3 business days. That's all I have for you.

Menu-Main screen

☚ī¸
I have not as of yet been able to purchase my own Sanyo 5500, but I have been watching the success of this phone for some time...
I have used the phone at my local Sprint store and have one question for the current owners.. Is there anyway to change the main menu screen? Even through i already love everthing else about the phone. I have used the VGA1000 and the Menu/screen looks like Samsaug gave alot more consumer thought.

There WILL BE a SILVE Sanyo 5500

There will be a silver Sany 5500. It was originally scheduled to be in Sprint's warehouses by mid-December, but just as with the different colored 8100 phones, it will be/has been delayed. Per Sanyo and Sprint, it will probably be out end of Dec. to the end of Jan. I work for Sprint in a technical capacity and I have also spoken personally with Sanyo about this, so you can take the information I am giving you on good authority. Believe me, no one is more disappointed by the lack of an available silver 5500 or more upset over the fact that Sanyo chose to market the "Blue" (mine as well be "black"), phone in it's place. This blue 5500 is flat out ugly!!! I just don't understand what Sanyo was thinking and I have told them so personally o...

Sprint can't activate sanyo 5500 or give cost of plan.

I went to two sprint stores and called customer
service yesterday trying to find out how much the 2000 minute share a phone plan that includes free minutes starting after 7:00, free
sprint to sprint calls, with vision and readylink on both phones. Each place told me a differnt amount, but they were not sure and told me I would find out after signing a two year contract but I must wait a month to see what the charges will be on my bill. What kind of company operates like this?

I spent over two hours at a sprint store and the sales rep could not find out the price of the service or even activate the account after
calling his manager, two other stores and corporate headquarters. WOW!!!

In conclusion...Sprint service STINKS!!!!
If ...

***FYI: THERE IS NO SILVER SANYO 5500 BEING MANUFACTURED FOR SPRINT!***

This week I placed an order for a silver Sanyo 5500 from Sprint and a few days later i recieved a blue one in the mail.

Confused, I contacted Sprint, and was fortunate enough to speak with a enthusiastic specialist that contacted 3 supervisors in 3 different departments about the existence of a silver Sanyo 5500.

He put me on hold but after a few minutes he said that he would call me back because he was talking to so many different people and didn't want me to be on hold the whole time.

30 minutes later he called back with this news: Although there is a silver Sanyo 5500 shown on the phone's manual and on some websites, it does not exist, and will not be manufactured for Sprint.

He credited my account for the inconvenience and I ...

To Use Ready Link!!!!!!!!

You must have either vision with ready link, or just ready link service activated to use this feature. this service uses a voice over ip service to connect meaning it uses internet connection. you should get 2 months of free ready link as well as 2 months of video mail when you activate if you didnt call them back up.
