question about animated screensavers

Hello!

I don't have this phone yet, but it's definitely on my list of considerations 🤣 . My question is the following ....

I've gone to 3 different websites (matrixm; 3gupload; and 3gvisioncorrection), and I cannot get a consistent answer as to whether or not this phone supports animated screensavers or java games. Some say yes, while others say no.

Can someone PLEASE tell me if the phone supports ANIMATED screensavers, not just regular screensavers.

Thanks a bunch!!

Also, if anyone knows how to get this phone for under $200 for new customers/activation could you please let me know. 😁

This is going to be my only phone for the next 2 yrs, i need to send pics, and vids to japan, and i need to be able to sync up with the pc for pic and vid downloads...money is not a problem. You people seem to know alot about these so i'd value your opinions.

Hey,

Does anyone have any info on this Data Pilot data transfer kit? I saw one on eBay any was wondering if it is any good, or is there a similar product out there that does all the things it does, only better.

Thanks.

Sanyo VM4500

Has anyone experienced static while talking on their phone? I've had it happen several times, which can be heard by the persons I've talked to. It has a analog sound to it and lasts anywhere from a second to several... And I'm on Sprint only mode, not roaming.

Thanks

I just got this phone today and so far it has been great. But like my previous phones is there an easy way to silent everything and put it in vibrate mode?

Thanks,

This POS phone is going back

I have 2 of these. I bought 2 hi cap batteries trying to fix the problems.

problems:

Cannot talk for more than about 15 min even with a fully charged hi cap battery without the person on the other end complain that I'm cutting out. If I plug in, the call is then good.

Ready Link has the same problem. I cannot talk very long without my call breaking up.

Dropped calls are ridiculous even standing still, plugged in, talking to someone on a land line.

Many calls go straight to VM without the phone ever ringing (~20-30%).

You cannot speed dial a number immediately after ending a RL or phone call. You have to wait a few minutes or the phone will just hang redialing.

Nice gimmick features though.

My phones are going back...

How much memory is on this phone

I have a Sanyo 8100, and my only real complaint is that it doesn't have much memory for ringers and pictures. I'm thinking about getting either the Sanyo 8200, Sanyo 4500/5500, or the Samsung a680. Can someone let me know how much memory there is, I can't find out anywhere. Thanks.

Dropped calls/constant redialing

My VM4500 will show a full signal and then be unable to make a call, or log onto vision. This has happened in different areas at different times. If a call goes through it will often be dropped. Anyone else having these problems? I'm going to bring it in to a Sprint store, but am afraid if I can't replicate problem, then they will tell me to take a hike. Think it must be the phone because my friends 5300 will work fine and mine won't when we're together.

Phone book listings?

I'm very interested in this phone. However when reading one of the reviews someone mentioned that the phone book is not up to date vs other systems. What I'm looking to do is have one name listed w/ several numbers for the same contact w/ different Icons for those numbers- Mobile, Home, office etc..

Can someone please confirm this phone has that feature, I can't belive it wouldn't- the person that submited the phone probably doesn't know how to set it correctly. Thanks in advance.

Keypad gets very warm when talking for long periods

Has anyone else noticed that the keypad of the VM4500 gets very warm when you talk with the phone for long periods. I find about after 10 minutes of talk time it starts to get really warm. Is this supposed to happen? Thanks guys!

best price?

Does anyone know where to get the best price on this phone? The best I can find right now is $200 after a $150 rebate and 2 year agreement. Also, any deals for 2 phones on a family plan w/ sprint?

HELP!!!!! Please

🙄 It was suggested to increase web speed to go to the link: http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com/index.php. Of course I did this. Typed in the code and yes there is faster connection speed. My problem is I saved it to the screen and now I have these black numbers and letters on my screen. This won't do. I need HELP! Does anyone know how to remove the code or just remove this from my screen. I'm bummin, BIG TIME. 😢

vm4500: data cable transfer

I just got this phone, and it's been great. I was wondering if anyone knows if the Snapmedia cable/software(from Futuremedia) can download pics/videos from the phone to my PC. I know it works the other way around, but can I take stuff off the camera and onto my PC. Second, what software would I need to take an mp3 and make it a ringtone?

sorry if this has already been answered, but I've been scouring the forums, and haven't found any answers.

thanks in advance.

animated screensaver setting

Okay, so I like the cute little dog, but my problem is I have found that when I have my buddy set on, the animated screensaver set for searching for service and for outgoing calls does not come on, when I turn off my buddy, they work fine. Is that a software issue with my specific phone or are they all like this? And if so, how do I fix it? *Also, has anyone found the body glove case for this phone? I can't find it anywhere!*
Thankyou guys so much!

Recently whenever I try to make a call with my 5500, it sometimes says "Redialing...." Then it goes into "Digital Roam." This hasn't always happened. Anyone know if this is just a temp. problem?
