NEED HELP!

I currently have the Samsung A600 and am in a bind on whether or not to get the Sanyo 5500. The phone is expensive and by buying this phone it will put me in a lot of debt. Is this phone worth it to owe over 7k? Is it that much better than any other phone out. What people say will be the deciding factor on whether or not I buy this phone. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

How is the earpiece volume and vibration feature?

Hi,

I think the SCP-5500 may be my next phone. I have a few questions:

1) I have a hearing problem, how is the earpiece volume? Sometimes when a new phone comes out, there are complaints about poor volume.

2) Is the vibration function good enough to detect if the phone is in a pocket, or is it pretty weak?

3) Is there an alarm clock function, and if so, is it loud enough to wake up to?

Thanks,

JD

Clarity compared to 8100?

Any experience with ear piece clarity, compared to the Sanyo 8100? My new 8100 has great sensitivity, but received calls sound a little muffled. I have a week left to swap my Sanyo 8100 for a different phone without paying a penalty.

Download photos to PC via sync software?

Can you download the photos and video taken by the 5500 directly to a PC using sync software? I read that you can manage contacts and the calender using a cable connected to your PC but what about pictures?

Does MobiTV Work On This Phone?!

I've been wanting to upgrade from the completely lousy N400 phone to one with the MobiTV - streaming TV. Does anyone know if the 5500 has this feature?

Is battery life different between SCP-5400 and SCP-5500?

I've read messages from several people saying the 5400 and 5500 are the same except for the camera. However, the advertised battery life for the 5400 is much less than the 5500. Does anyone know if it's a misprint and they have the same battery life?

I don't really want the camera and would like to not spend the extra bucks for the 5500 if-and-only-if I can expect the same battery life in the 5400.

Plus, the 5500 is not in the stores here yet.

Help! Thanks!

PTT Question

🙄 Does anyone have the answer to this question? With all the direct connect technology going around (Nextel, Verizon, and now Sprint) will there, at some point, be a direct connect merge- Like a Sprint phone direct connecting with a Nextel. It might sound crazy to some but to me its only common sense because everyone is not going to have the same phone under the same company. I see it as, if you can call a Sprint phone with a Nextel, hope come you cant direct connect?

5500 IS A HOT PHONE

I just got the phone today, and OMG it is hot. It is by far the best Sprint Phone by far. With all it feature, u can not ask for a better Phone. If you are in the CT area the price is 402.07 with taxes. and it is worth it.

didnt i tell you guys, sprint is taking over!

🙂 , sprint has better ptt phones then vz, they will be the first with a ptt/camera/video clip phone in the market, and the service plan is making nextell customers knock their heads in walls for extending their contracts, ive seen it in my school, so i can say this. im just waiting for them to come out with it so i can get it and be the first to experience the revolution in wirless service. oh yeah, i forgot to say, they are the only ones offering live television on their vision handsets also! and the ptt phones can go on the net, unlike vz.

5500

I do not know why, but it seems like the 5500 is only available in certain markets right now. It will be out next month by Christmas for everyone. If you want one now, there are two listings on eBay for it. They are asking $500, so if you can't wait for it then go buy it. Personally I would rather wait another 2 weeks than pay almost $200 bucks more.
