$140/month Unlimited Everything

Sprint now offers the most expensive unlimited plan in the industry. Here is how it breaks down:

Simply Everything: $99
Wifi Hotspot Feature: $29
Premium Data Charge: $10
Total: ~$140

Expensive for one phone. Granted, $140 buys you unlimited talk, text, internet, e-mail, 3G/4G access, GPS, mobile TV service, Android 2.1 and it's market (which as of April had over 34,000 apps) wifi hotspot for up to 8 devices and literally the best phone that has ever been manufactured.
Go Sprint! I want to watch the iPhone die, and while I am not going to credit one phone to the death of Steve Jobs' brainchild, phones like this will do the trick.

Los Angeles 4G for the Evo release?

Does anyone know if Los Angeles 4G coverage will be active for the June 4th release of the Evo?

All I see is that Los Angeles will have 4G coverage this summer - no date.

I just pre-ordered my Evo at Radio Shack and 4 G coverage would be nice to have right off the bat.

stop the whining

i have never seen sooooo many people complain over items they will never use or threaten switching when they never will once they find out the costs fo att (and their terrible iphone service) or verizon and their terrible phones.

seriously, lets discuss the phone/features and please quit the b*tching. especially the $10 fee for a phoen capable of 4g. i can only imagine what vzw will charge when they release an lte phone late in the year.

"Simply Everything" apparently doesn't mean everything....

I was pretty excited about this phone but then....

I learned of the $10 "Premium" data charge. That in itself is pretty lame because Sprint has been hemorrhaging customers for a few years now and is barely treading water. So the iPhone changed everything and it's the X factor for everyone. This new 4G service is incredibly cool and it's great that they've beat everyone to the punch. BUT, if they just end up charging people $10 more when they've already got something called "Simply Everything" none of this means anything. Within a year other networks will have 4G service and then where is your power play for market share Sprint?

Secondly, No service. Tons of people here in NYC hate their iPhones because ATT is really bad. Everyone kno...

Why are you complaining????

Reading how some of guys are complaining about a $10.00 increase makes me glad I no longer work for sprint...

The simply everything plan price was based on the technology that was out at the time the plan was introduced... i don't think its unfair to adjust the price as the technology progresses... and for those of you who are planing to jump ship because of $10 just keep this in mind

AT&T iPhone
Plan: Nation Unlimited $69.99
Services: Data Plan for iPhone $30.00
Messaging Unlimited $20.00
AT&T Navigator(SM) for iPhone $9.99
Plus more for tv service
and you won't be able to add insurance on the device so if you break you have to pay the full retail to replace not sure but I'm sure its over $400....

now co...

CAN"T WAIT!!!!

I absolutely can't wait to get this phone and try it out. I've been with Sprint for 6+ years, and while I've always had good reliable phones (Samsung something or other, Razr, Centro, Instinct), I've never had the top of the line, hot new phone, but I decided this would be the one! I live in Harrisburg, so I'll have 4g, 8MP camera with 720p video capabilities and an HDMI interface. Very Exciting! I currently use a Verizon mi-fi for my internet, and I can't get out of that for a year plus (without the ETF), but I think I'll try the EVO mi-fi for the first month just for comparisons sake. The size specs compare very favorably to the iPhone, and I have pretty big hands anyway, so the size is no problem. In fact, it might help me keep my daughte...

Stop the bloodclot crying, you are making true fans and customers sick!

Verizon charges $10 for data for every "multimedia" device they sell. Multimedia meaning touch screen or keyboard phone, whether the customer wants it or not, it is a requirement. Only phones that do not require it are the intensity, cosmos and razzle, if you get a plan or upgrade after 01/18/10. That is crap when it comes to a $10 charge.

Sprint is only charging $10 for 4G capabilities. I am not in a 4G area, but there is one an hour away and I travel enough to want the feature the few times a year I will be in that area. This is not a concern for the customer that has been wanting and waiting for this phone. Haters will always hate, if people did not hate on this phone something would be wrong.

My bill is 69.99 unlimited what I nee...

No, $10 fee for the Evo 4G is not mandatory

If I'm reading the email I got from sprint correctly, the $10 premium only applies to "existing data plans starting at $59", presumably to upgrade those plans to unlimited data access. The unlimited data plans (simply everything plans), starting at $69 for an individual and $129 for a family of 2 up to $169 for a family of 4, shouldn't have any extra fee for the Evo.

Like I said it's just how I'm reading the email I got from sprint, but the $10 fee isn't mentioned until after they talk about "standard data plans starting at $59". So if you ask me, I'm still thinking there will be no extra fee (except for the wifi hotspot one) for using the 4g on an existing everything data plan. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong.

!!!!! NEW EVO 4G NOT SO HOT!!!

😢 Sprint is planing to change the pricing option for the EVO 4G instead of using the already existing ulimited plans that Sprint currently has. Based on my opinion, this will discourage customer from wanting to get that phone or better yet stay with sprint. Besides the Palm Pre and the HTC PRO 2, Sprint has not been coming up with any new pda devices that would compete with its competitors. However when i heard of the EVO 4G coming out, i thought it was a good chance for Sprint to make an impression but adding these additional fees will not help. 😕

WiFi without "Hot Spot Plan"

I read the disclaimer for the phone and it says "Optional Sprint Mobile Hotspot add-on required to access Wi-Fi on device." Does this mean that the phone will not be able to use WiFi without the plan?

I understand not being able to use the "Hotspot" feature to be the data connection supplier, but what about using WiFi to transfer data on a LAN, or get a faster connection, etc.

I really do not want to pay the $29.99 just to use the WiFi on my phone.

Anyone have answers?

Turn off sense

For those who wanted to know if you could turn off sense because you like vanilla android and this is why you wanted the Nexus one or Droid, well you can as seen in this video.

Voice & Data simultaneously!?!

Will sprint be able to do voice & the internet at the same time...this is a question for mag51085? I hear this is not a hardware issue on HTC, but rather a software issue from either Sprint or Goggle? So as a sprint employee (mag51085)could you give a little insight on this matter?
