If You Keep giving wrong information over and over, someone will believe you.

The $10.00 Add-On according to Sprint is not for 4G service, its to ensure that there will be the bandwith available for this data hog of a device. It gives you unlimited data whether you use 3G or 4G.

What with the fanboys and this review?

I have been a long time reader of phonescoop and constantly use is for reference when I need precise information on features and the like. I never commented on the forums until now. I really don't understand what the deal with this review and the fanboys (cellenator being the most ridiculous) who hate on Sprint? The video review, in my opinion, was sub par compared to review of similar devices on other networks. If this had come out on AT&T, the review would have been completely different. Too bad they didn't name it an iEvo.

P.S- Can't wait until the new iPhone 4 review comes out, i'm sure the reviewer will be all hyped up and pumped and will give it a godly review. Shortly after all the AT&T fanboys will soil themselves and continue to ...

Sprint Biz: EVO 4G $199 (+ tax $449-250 instant rebate) Oder Online too!

🙂

For those of you with a business/fed tax ID # seeking to score an Evo 4G @ $199 (instantly) - simply check the www.Sprint.com/business Shop and you can order without waiting for the $100 mail-in. The instant savings is $250, from the phone price @ $450, leaving you paying the state tax on $200. Free shipping!

You can sign up for a variety of different plans under the business "discount" veil. Not sure how much, if any, the plans differ from normal plans and / savings compare. But if you check the normal Sprint.com shop, there's only $150 instant savings on the 4G.

Either way it's a great deal if you don't want to visit Best Buy AND you can even get a $100 additional credit for porting your current number over, thus making the ...

Voice Dialing w/Bluetooth headset

Hi, can someone tell me if the EVO will voice dial over a bluetooth headset. I have an ATT Fuse right now with MSVC (MS Voice Command) and it does great with 1500 contacts in Outlook with no training involved. I did hear that Android did not have this capability in previous versions of their OS. Thanks.

Not at all deterred....

For the most part - this is a Goliath version of my HTC Hero (which I love). Even though I'll more than likely own a different phone by the time I have access to 4G....this is more than enough to motivate me to upgrade now at full retail price.

Still excited & still buyin' it on day 1 😎

Bluetoooth

I have an 2010 Audi A4. I can not get the Bluetooth to work. It seems to pair up ok but connects for about 30 seconds and then disconects. I had no problem using my Palm Pre. 😢

No 4G service ?! - Obtaining IP address from Sprint

Message under 4G header (Menu/Settings/Wireless @ networks/4G) is: "Obtaining IP address from Sprint". This should resolve within seconds. In my case it never resolves.

After hours on the phone with Sprint, after resets, restores, re-registering the phone with Sprint, I still don't have 4G data on my phone.

Sprint Tech support told me to take the phone back to a store and repair or exchange as everything else was ruled out.

Did anybody else have did issue?

Calendar

For those that already bought this .... how is the calendar app? I currently use a blackberry curve which I love just because of the calendar. BB calendar alerts when there are conflicts... and the reason I returned my Hero was because the android calendar was crap. I wonder if it's the same calendar.

HTC EVO Review-

The unleashing of the EVO 4G is sure to be beyond belief. I cannot wait to get in line and wait this phone out. My local Sprint store is going to be open at 8am. I hope this phone is not a failure like the Palm Pre. Such a horrible phone. I got a lot of good info from HTC EVO Review

I am an actual employee, and unlink the Pre, we are actually really excited about this phone. The Pre was horrible. Within a week we were told what to expect. People were coming in waves with complaints. It sucked. EVO better not do that crap.

Does this sound like a good plan to get the evo

I want the evo but I dont want to pay 450 so what Im going to do is have my gf buy the evo with her upgrade and then switch phones with her. I now that im going to end up paying 300 because I wont get the mail in rebate. It sounds easy enough but Im wondering do we have to switch phones at the store or can we do it over the phone with sprint?

Micro HDMI cable

Has anyone found an HDMI cable for the EVO online anywhere? I was hoping to not have to pay retail for it if I didn't have to. Thanks.
