Motorola V600

I got my V600 today and I LOVE IT!
Only question..I don't know if this is just my phone but when I had my v60i you had to like push the phone closed..on the V600 i can just like snap my wrist and it closes..is this normal? Also, is there any way to get the MMODE off of my main screen?

I have to say I am very dissapointed in Motorola & this phone. I am on my 3rd one and this phone has too many flaws both phisically and software. One of the managers of one of the larger stores for AT&T in CA who is a friend of mine warned me about this phone before it came out. I should have listned. I really believe that Nokia is the place to be. I am going to go to the 6620 when it comes ot for AT&T. I think Motorola who used to stand for quality has seen its better days.

Am I reading correctly that the V600 doesn't come with a holster? I didn't see one on the motorola site, just ugly cases with belt clips. Is there a preferred quality holster people are buying? I'm looking at getting a V600 and I was very concerned about the lack of holster.

I am trying to put games on my v600 but cant enable my jave loader on pst becuase the software wont dtect my fone. This is weird because i have been using mobile fone tools to dl wallpaper and ringtones for awhile now. can someone please help me out?

Has anyone tried to connect there headset and V600 to there computer? If so, did it cause any interference

i'm having problems exchanging files and doing everything with my v600 and my powerbook g4. i'm running X10.3, and i just bought the belkin bluetooth adapter. so i'll go to setup the device on the computer, and everything goes pretty smooth. i type in the password, i skip through all the internet/modem connections stuff and then it says congrats it's been connected blah blah blah. so then i got to send a file from the dropdown menu, and the phone is gone, like it was never t here and it won't be able to find it. i've been having these problems for weeks and i've looked all over the forums and i can't find anything to help me out so if anyone can help that would be awesome. my aim screen name is leomcpants if you would like to chat with me ...

There are sites with games to download for free. I tried transferring them to the phone by bluetooth, but it doesn't seem to work. Please tell me that this phone won't make me buy all the games when I already have them... 😢

Does anyone with a v600 have a Jabra Bluetooth headset, and if so, does it work fine?

The Jabra Website has an outdated compatibility chart that doesn't mention the v600.

I'm considering the Jabra FreeSpeak 250, which claims to be "compliant with Bluetooth 1.1."

not able to ehar ring when the bluetooth is on. is there a fix for this? please help me out someone.

There have been numerous complaints about the v600 phonebook software -- specifically, the need to make separate entries when you want to include one person's home, office, and cell numbers -- and the nuisance it is to scroll through such long lists.

I've largely overcome the need to scroll through the phonebook at all by using the v600's built-in voice feature. For example, I can press the Voice key, say "Amy home" OR "Amy office" OR "Amy cell" OR "Amy pager" and it instantly takes me to that phonebook entry. Then I simply press the Dial key and it dials the number.

When creating these voice entries, just remember that the phonebook entry *must* be stored on the phone, not the SIM card. That's a subtlety that is hard to catch in th...

Does anybody know if the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools v 2.0 sold for $29.99 on the motorola website is the same software as Mobile Phone Tools by BVRP sold by retailers? And is their somewhere to dl a trial of the motorola version

does anyone kno wher or how to unlock a att wireless v600 for free or very cheap. or do you kno if theyll do it at the store and how long u have to own the fone? thanks

ive got an ambicom bluetooth usb adapter. XP installed the software for it, and it found my phone. entered a passcode and then my phone sync up with it, it shows in the list on devices on my phone, and i can also see it in the list of devices for the bluetooth icon in my taskbar, or in control panel.

my question is, how do i transfer files, pictures, etc? On my friends bluetooth phone, theres a folder that he opens and that has all the pictures, ringtones, etc. But how do i set it up for my phone?

i dont have the phonetools software, and i dont think i would need it to do this. can anyone help?

To register here, which allows you to set up alerts, and personalize your wireless web, there is no v600 in the device model drop down menu.

Does anyone know if the v400 will suffice for now, or do I have to wait until Cingular enables the v600?

When I turn on the bluetooth connection for my V600, and I turn on the HS8100 bluetooth headset, the two connect. I can turn the headset on/off and it will keep on connecting/disconnecting without any problems.

If I turn off the headset for a few minutes, and then turn it back on... it can't connect. I have to go back into the v600 menu and turn on the bluetooth again. Why is this? Does it have to be this way? I got the phone from Cingular.

Ok now I have a Cingular branded V600, and (knock on wood) I have not had any problems having it for 2 weeks. The only thing i can complain about is that near the top I have very tiny scratches that cannot bee seen unless you look for it. I have had no software problems or glitches and I have absolutely NO scratches on the screen nor on the front or back of the phone. I am very happy with this phone and I would like to announce it and I'd like to see wether or not others are happy with this phone. Please tell the brand of the phone you have eg. Cingular, ATT, or Unbranded. Because to me it seems like all the problems are with the ATT and unbranded phones. Just asking out of curiosity... 😎

My only complaint with the phone is when using the bluetooth headset, ring tones don't play, just the standard ring. Coverage on the phone is excellent.

i've tried almsot every way i can think of to send a picture from AOL to my phone. Everytime it dosen't show up. I just get an email with no pic??

Several folks in previous posts indicated that Mobil Phone Tools for the v600 is available for free download.

Checking Google, I see only commercial sites selling it, or foreign-language sites (Italian, Russian, etc.) to appear somewhat suspicious.

I want to make sure that this is legal! I have no desire to download pirated software. If it is legal, I'd appreciate a URL.
