I'm unable to set up a private meeting from my iPhone's iCalendar (sync'd to Microsoft Exchange)

I do not own an iPhone. So why am I here? I like to read the reviews. *Deep sigh* The iPhone is special. because in ten years of wireless sales and service, I have not felt that it was a big deal that a phone was not offered on my carrier of choice. This is just not cool! Free the iPhone, AT&T!

on the Iphone?

I cannot buy the phone until either Apple or AT&T allows tethering so it can be used as a modem. Does anyone know the status or workarounds? Thanks.

My 4-5 month old 3gs is having problems with three g. When 3G is enabled, it is incredibly slow and sometimes does not work at all (error message states "could not start cellular data network" or something). Soft restart helps the situation for a bit but after a few minutes of browsing it reverts to crap. AT&T guy said maybe I need a new sim card? Does this sound right? Using edge for now but I want three g back!!!!!!!

I just updated to 3.1.2? i think it was, the latest version of the Iphone OS (update as of 10/10/09) and since then i have had to reset my Iphone to factory settings TWICE!!! My Iphone puts all my music on the ipod and switches it from "Music" to "other" thus not allowing me to play them. When i connect it to itunes on my computer it shows that i have all the memory from my music but its not viewable, you cant view files in the "other" category.

Im really frusturated because it takes like 1 hr 30mins to get my memory back on the iphone.

Any ideas?

Is there anyone having problems receiving pic messages on the iphone. I have and it is somewhat frustrating when you get the pic 7 to 9 hours later. I have had At&t for about 4 months and I am very satisfied with the iphone, but the service has dropped calls on a daily basis and now not receiving pic messages tops it. Just wondering if there is anyone else having the same problem. I am past the point of an apology from At&t making it all better. 😢

Is the 3G signal selectable or will it ALWAYS jump to the 3G. I stopped using 3G phones for this reason a few yrs ago. I would constantly have 0-1 bars of 3G and my other phones would have 5 bars edges(2G)..... Any help here would be appreciated as I really want the iPhone!

im confused i updated my phone but still no MMS capibility...did I miss something?

hello guys, when i sync my phone my pictures automatically are put onto my pc but my videos aren't. any idea why thats happening? thanks

i got my tethering to work too. download speeds arent too bad, but upload is horribly slow. gotta love at&t lol

So I was on the Apple website the other night and noticed it said that my 3GS has the ability to record video AND edit (trim) video as well. I have taken tons of video but i cant figure out how to trim it or anything. I cant find the option anywhere. I have 3.1.
Am i missing something? Is my phone Missing something??

i got an mms last night from a friend. it works now. does it work for anyone else?

I'm still on 3.0.1 cause 3.1 isn't jailbroken. U have yo google it but there is a carrier bundle u have to update, it changes AT&T from 4.0 to 5.0. I did this a while ago and I'm not home so I don't have specifics, but that's how I got the mms feature available, but it didn't work till they released 3.1. I hope this helps

AT&T got quite some heat to not support MMS when the iPhone 3.0 OS got released back in June. Now AT&T officially announced this week to launch MMS for the iPhone on September 25th.
You actually need to update you iPhone as the MMS feature will get enabled through it. The update will be released on September 25th.
AT&T is defending the delay that they needed to prepare the infrastructure to handle the gazillions of MMS you will send from your iPhone.
If the iPhone software update is only AT&T specific or rolled up in the upcoming iPhone 3.1 release is not clear yet.

iPhone 3.1 firmware is officially out! Check iTunes for the update for iPhone and iPod touch. Mms is still planned to be available on September 25th 2009 via AT&T for those of us STILL waiting. If you have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch be aware that you will remove the jailbreak by updating. You may not be able to jailbreak 3.1 since apple is removing the ability to downgrade to previous firmware which is part of the jailbreak process.

So apparently the latest update of the Yelp app included a hidden feature for those with the iPhone 3GS.
When you open the app, and shake your iPhone 3 times in secession, an icon will appear in the top right corner of the app. when you touch the icon ,called monocle, your iphone camera will activate. using the compass of the iphone, the Yelp app will show you what restaruants your looking at and whats around u and in what direction.

I have the yelp app but cant get this to work, does anyone know what version of yelp has this feature? i have version 3.0


any help would be great, it sounds so cool but IMO frustrated cuz i cant get it to work. thanks

I'm curious about the phone reception for the 3Gs. I'm considering switching to the new 3Gs and call reception is important !
