Will wait for Verizon to aquire the new iPhone

Rumor has it from a little bird inside Apple corporate that they are very upset with AT&T and will not be leaving them with exclusive rights to the iPhone as of 2010.

I would normally not be able to wait that long for new technology but I will be willing to do so in protest of how AT&T is treating current iPhone users.

Managing Photos

Ok...please no "go get an app for that"...."search google you idiot" replies. I merely want someone who knows the answer to describe how to do it. I haven't found any simple answer online.....

It seems everytime I try to upload pix from my computer it just replaces the ones on the iphone rather than adding another library or album. I have one app called "Folders" but it really is for pascode locking items. I simply want to be able to have multiple albums in my main iphone photo library. I cant believe it is this difficult to manage photos.

What would happen to the Storm?

Do you want to know why I am certain that a CDMA iPhone will never happen? Two words:

Blackberry Storm

Why would Verizon get the iPhone when they have an exclusive with the touchscreen Blackberry? Why would they knowingly bring competition against their own exclusive phone? Believe me its not worth making RIM made over getting a phone that only a few % of their users would even buy.

iPhone now like G1??

Why is Apple trying to copy things like the G1 now? Like the new google map on the iPhone that is on the G1. Then the compass application too. ๐Ÿคจ Pathetic. ๐Ÿ‘€

PROBLEM WITH PHONE CONSTANTLY ZOOMING

Hi, I am a first time iPhone user and I have a problem that I am guessing is unique to me since I cant find any information anywhere. So, I have had the 3G S for about 2 weeks now and i have had no problems until today. This afternoon, i let my phone battery run out as normal before connecting it to the charger and after about 20 minutes of it being hooked up I noticed it hadnt come back on yet. So i turned it on and it was a white screen and would turn off, it did this for about 5 minutes and then I reset it and it worked normal. Well, just a minute ago I plugged the phone in to charge on the OEM included charger and the screen zoomed in so close that i cant access stuff with out using 3 fingers to move around the screen. The screen is s...

switch from QWERTY to multi tap texting

I know you can now switch to landscape for easier messaging but is it at all possible to also switch the keyboard from the QWERTY keyboard to the T9 Multi-tap like you can on the HTC pro? I know this kinds sounds silly but I usually only have one hand on my phone anyways and I'm just so used to T9 that I can't part with it when I'm sending my short messages

I found this but it isn't exactly what i'm looking for

Take the plunge?

I have been a Verizon and Blackberry User for over 5 years. I have the often buggy Storm and am thinking of taking the plunge on the Iphone 3GS. I here spotty things about AT&T's network and Verizon is coming out with the Blackberry Tour in 2 weeks. Any thoughts?

DOES NOT SUPPORT MMS....yet

As an employee for an AT&T call center, I'm sick of receiving calls about provisioning MMS for the iCrap....er iPhone. It is not available and wont be available until later this summer. No, there is no date on it but it WILL be available eventually. I hope at least some of you read this before deciding to wait on hold for AT&T to answer your call.

Multitasking question...

Can someone define cellphone multitasking for me... because as far as I can tell, the iPhone does it, you can pick up where you left off on any application... and swap to another... Like, safari, to media, to an app, and then back? As far as I can tell that's multitasking in a fashion, if not definitively. Does the application have to stay completely open, using resources to be considered multitasking? Or what?

Compass

Does anyone know why the compass does not give the right reading? When I first got the 3GS, I tested it by aiming it toward the North but got a reading it was West. At the time, I thought I might be wrong so I dismissed it. However, when I got in my car and compared the reading to my navigational system compass and showed that the 3GS was way off. Went home and tested it with an old fashion compass and it too verified my findings...

Rich or Eric

Good review. Makes me happy I didn't drop the 500 bones for the new one since I upgraded to 3.0 on my 3G and got most of the function. Quick question though. How did the battery life compare to the 3G? And of course, do you think Apple will bring the new polymer battery technology to the iPhone next year? I'm seriously going to wait till next year, as I suspect that it will happen, and a few other larger things.

iPhone or AT&Ts fault?

First off, I'm very happy with my phone. This is just something that has peaked my interest.

The speaker phone quality on the iphone has always been average at best... is this the iphones fault or at&ts call quality?

I always assumed it was the phone, but it seems the speaker on the phone keeps getting better with every model (2G, 3G, 3GS). I could be wrong but thats how it seems to me.

Anyways, I noticed the quality of the Voice Memo app is phenomenal. Loud, crisp and clear. Even if you record a song from another speaker, the quality is great, and loud. This got me thinking, the iphones speaker seems to have the volume and clarity capabilities .. so does mean that the at&t network is what holds back the quality of the speaker ...

Other recommendations besides the iPHONE?

U had an iPhone 2g and loved it except it was impossible to text on without looking at the screen, no mms, etc.

It died and I went back to my old razr. Now that is on its last leg and I need to upgrade.

The iphone has come a long way but still seems to be lacking in a few areas...mainly the texting.

Is there anything else out there that even comes close and can be used on ATT network? I was thinking about the Nokia N95?

Any recommendations?

Ya Missed Some Stuff...

Doesn't seem like you really spent a lot of time getting in-depth experience with the new device... Very opinionated, not very comprehensive.

In the inbox, or any mail folder, you can now multi-select messages for deletion, moving to other folders, etc. That's an important new feature readers might like to know about.

You missed the variable-speed advancing through audio files in the media player.

You described the coating on the screen as something to make it smudge-proof. Actually, it's there to make the smudges easily wipe off. Works pretty well. Now, wiping with a sleeve, your pant-let, or a soft cloth actually produces a clean screen instead of just smearing all that grease around.

Something worth your mentioning regard...
