BlackBerry Storm 9530

storm is in the mail...this is not my first blackberry (it's actually my 5th) and i have used pocketmac to sync things i've needed to (even tho i do plan on using google sync for contacts and calendars- the only things i need syncd)...but i do want to know a) where i can get the latest software (not necessarily official software) and b) how do i install it with a mac?

i do use bootcamp, so if i have to use windows, it's an option...but i'd like to avoid it. either way..where do i get the latest OS?

What's up everybody?? I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just bought my girlfriend this phone and she loves it! There's just a small problem, everytime she's on the phone her earring or cheek hits the mute button and it's small but very annoying problem. Has anyone else expierenced this?? Is there anyway to lock the screen during a call or have it turn off during a call. Is there anyway to disable the touch function during the call?? Thanks in advance!!

I have had a motorola 500 bluetooth headset and have used it with several phones. Will this work with the STORM? Additionally, will the STORM work with the bluetooth in my LEXUS gx?

Will we see a score of 4.0 in the next few weeks? If everyone goes to 109, just maybe it will get there. This is the build that Verizon should have released the Storm on. The naysayers are doing their best to get the score down but it's holding at 3.5! Not bad for a loser phone according to those so called experts at CNET and others. Have patience and you will be rewarded. 🙂

i really want to update the os.. but.. argh.. in the last 2 days my phone restarted.. twice! never happened before.. maybe i should upgrade.. btw.. .109 is done.. .112 is out! LOL! some1 tell me how it is!! =]

Does anyone have any suggestions for an app for the Storm to manage finances like credit cards and checking accounts? Pretty much what I'm looking for is an electronic checkbook register.

I am just wondering if anyone is also having this problem. I have tried bbweather as well as weatherbug. I like both, however, I find the icon doesn't change sometimes, and sometimes it is different if I have it as one of my 8 icons showing then when I open up the big menu it is different. Is there something wrong with my phone because i haven't read anyone else complaining about this. Does this happen to anyone else?

I've upgraded to .109 and connected my BB to my home system to download some mp3 and Blackberry Media Manager is gone!!

What happened? The Blackberry Manager doesn't give me the option to load it?

Has anyone tried the Appleberry theme that was on Crackberry a couple of days ago? It looks like it's just the kind of visual display I was looking for. One of the reasons I was willing to pull the trigger and order a Storm yesterday.

Wondering if anyone has used an app called Poynt before? I've heard it was good but was just wondering about peoples opinions. Also with GPS is there anything negative about changing the GPS setting to "location on"? Thanks.

Just installed .109 on my Storm earlier tonight...can't believe how much more responsive it is! Even the camera is working pretty smooth! I'd dare say this is the OS I've been waiting for! Now we'll see what glitches appear...if any!

It seems that every week there's an update version of the firmware leaked. However, there's hasn't been an official update from Verizon since last December.

Does anyone know if Verizon is planning on releasing an official update anytime in the near future? It seems kind of silly not too with all these leaked versions.

its a program that you install on your computer, and it streams anything and everything to your phone. music, videos, even tv.

im trying it now, just curious if anyone else used it and liked/disliked it.

.75 is just slow and painful. I was nervous about going to .109 because my last phone crashed. But behing (I know that not proper english) that no one seems to have shared the 1st storms demise I will update shortly.

With the last phone, the screen did not display anymore, I could answer calls but the screen when dark.

Anybody rockin the 16gb micro sd yet?
