LG Voyager VX-10000

I was going to just wait it out and buy the thing at the store, but from what I've been reading, it'll be hard to get it even late next week.

So now I think I'm just gonna preorder tonight. I'm assuming it won't ship tonight like the rest of yours have, but will I be able to get it by Saturday (FedEx does Saturday shipping, right?)?

-Nationwide Plans are required to use the phone. Pricing is the same as America's Choice
-PLEASE PLEASE get vcast IF you're planning on using the browser. It will eat up your MB and rack up your bill in no time. Remember 1 MB=$1.99. So to give you an idea myspace main page is about 1MB. DO the math
-The touch screen has a calibration option under the settings. This is a feature like the PDA's with touch screen. It reset the screen for a better response. Readjust it every now and then for better response.
-TV antenna is delicate. Be careful. If it breaks it MIGHT NOT be covered under warranty since it could be considered physical damage.
-GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR OR CASE, you will regret it if you scratch it.

Well what do you think about it? Me? well, this is my story. I used to have to carry a phone for emails and text messaging, a phone for placing calls, and a phone for receiving calls. I also carried a camera, tv, mp3 player, and gps unit, all in my hands. That's 7 things. Now I just carry the Voyager, that's 1 thing.

the phone comes with a cd that installs the usb driver anyone have and idea how to get it to work for mac?

Briefly

The phone looks excellent, display are detailed and bright. I still can't believe how big the internal display is. It feels like it should be the same size as the 9900 but it's noticeably bigger.

The touch screen requires a little more pressure than i anticipated. I thought it would be more like the touch controls on other mobile phones like the Gleam, K1M, etc. Doesn't take long to get used to. Dialing with the outside touch screen is quite easy with few mistypes. Using the touch screen for the full keyboard was a bit more difficult. pretty similar to the I-phone. buttons are just a bit small.

Was thinking about waiting a week or two to see what the reviews are from those of you who ARE getting this phone today. However, I fear that if I wait, I may just have to wait until after Christmas. Sounds like this phone is going to sell out very quickly! Maybe I should just get to the store this morning! 🙂

Today (Monday 11/19/07), I went into my local Verizon store (Ft Lauderdale, FL) to inquire if I could upgrade to the Voyager early, being only 16 days shy of my 1-Year anniversary date of my last purchase of my current phone (ENV).

I was told flat out "No" and I would have to wait until December 8 (my 1-year anniversary date) to receive the promotional price. I said given the fact that I could purchase the Voyager at full retail on the official release date and then return it on my anniversary date and then re-purchase it at the promotional price would they just let me purchase at the promotional price on the release date. Thats when the VZ rep me informed there would only be 5 Voyagers in the store for purchase and and they were all spok...

Can anyone who has this phone and is a heavy texter update us on the txt messaging inbox capacity.

the manual says 540 messages shared between all boxes and some other posts say you get up to 200 in the inbox.

is this the experience you have gotten?

First off, the phone is fantastic. Had the Env since January and have used it as my mp3 player with Motorola S9 stereo bt headphones.

On the Voyager, there is no equalizer function like they gave the Venus. Nor can you minimize the music player and go initialize a text or get into the phones menu or surf the web. It has the same music player of the Env. I don't understand why they give the chocolate and Venus a "go to menu" option and not the voyager.

It stil pauses the music when u receive a call or text and resumes where you left off when done. Also, if you exit the music player and go back into it, it starts at the beginning of the play list so no flash memory yet.

Anyone know what track is that playing at the website www.verizonwireless.com/next?

ok i have asked this a thousand times, but i can never get a straight answer,

if you have a package that gives you unlimited vzw-vzw pics flix messages, will you still have to have the $49.99 data plan to use that?

My credit card was charged yesterday for the Voyager, and my Order Status still says "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days."

Anyone know how to get the tracking number? I didn't receive the e-mail that VZW said i'd get "the minute my voyager was ready to ship" in the order confirmation e-mail i got over a week ago.

Is anyone having an issue when they go to check their order status on the verizon website today? I'm getting an Error message that reads "Please check the information you have entered. Data may be missing or may be entered in an invalid format."
