I was going to just wait it out and buy the thing at the store, but from what I've been reading, it'll be hard to get it even late next week.
So now I think I'm just gonna preorder tonight. I'm assuming it won't ship tonight like the rest of yours have, but will I be able to get it by Saturday (FedEx does Saturday shipping, right?)?

There were about 15,000 phones made and about 10,000 online preorders. so do the math the res will trickle down to the stores nationwide, meaning NOT ENUFF to go around.

I'm sure you love to make this up as you go. VZ probably has more then 15,000 outlets when you take into account all the third party resellers. Would you really have us believe that only some of them will have 1 phone on the 21st?

Actually Raging is pretty close to right. No store in the South and Midwest Verizon locations...alot of them, did not receive more than 10 Voyagers in the initial shipment because there was only 5000 allocated to these two regions total. Someone on here or on howard forums said their NY store got 40 in so might be more for that region but for the 2 regions I mentioned, those numbers are right.
Also Authorized retailers for Verizon wont be getting this phone until a week or 2 after Verizon starts today.

Actually I know 2 Circuit City locations that ONLY got about 4 to 5 each. And some store only got about 20 to 30 max. Some other stores didn't get any. Its the same as the PS3 and the Wii. Demand for the product is higher than anticipated. You've seen it before so believe me it's true!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got a grand total of 5 at our location. After Demo'ing out 2 of them we had exactly 3 for launch, which our store decided to keep for new activations only. That went well. Had to toss an a-hole who was this close to spending Thanksgiving in county for assault. It's a lovely phone and all, but not worth that.
