Transfer files from card INTO Phone

Ok, so I've correctly formatted my card in the phone, copied files from my pc to the card, and can see the file on my card when it's in the phone.

But when I go to "move" the files from the card to my phone (i.e. I mark a file) I get a message that says "Move to Phone and restore defaults?" Yes or No. Well I do want to move the file to the phnoe but what does "restore defaults" mean and/or do? I don't want to reset my phone, lose all my contact info, etc?

Thank.

I Got an 8350... So Far, So Good. I Like It!

Just got my 8350 on Sunday, and while it's obviously too early to be judging certain aspects of the phone (such as durability, or reception in fringe areas), I'm definitely liking what I'm seeing so far.

The phone feels a bit smaller than the specs indicate, maybe 'cuz it's pretty oval in shape. Fits in my jeans change pocket quite a bit better than the 8300 did, and of course, no external antennae to jab me in the side when I sit down.

However the phone is pretty Plain Jane in terms of styling... not ugly, mind you, but you do kinda miss the 8300's sculpted curves.

Also, annoyingly, the 8350 is dark charcoal-colored on the outside, and black on the inside, when probably the phone would've looked better if LG had reversed that. ...

Vibrate and ring

Can this phone vibrate and ring at the same time. I had a Nokia phone a few years ago that could do this and it is a great feature. My E815 does not do this, but I've got a VSX8350 on order so I'm hoping it does.

Vibration options for text messaging

I use my phone as a pager, and have never been happy with the vibration modes. Is there any way to change the way the phone notifies of the incoming TM? I would like it to continue to vibrate until I stop it. The best I could do on my old RAZR was 4 buzzes, then a reminder buzz every minute or so. I can't seem even to get this phone to do even that.

Any help would be appreciated.

LG VX-8350 Verizon Missed Call Reminder

Does the LG VX-8350 on Verizon have a persistent missed call alert reminder - not just the beep when the call is first received and not answered, but a beep and/or vibrate every minute or so until you take action with the phone? If not, do any of the current LG Verizon phones have this feature? thanks 😎

Disable camera button?

Okay, I got tight pockets. As a result, when I sit or squat down, I sometimes activate the camera unknowingly and the battery wears out faster.

Does anyone know of a way to deactivate the camera or disable the button? I didn't buy the phone for the camera, but now adays they all seem to come with one whether you want it or not. Thanks for the help.

RED 8350 Is Out!

In case anyone is wonderin', the RED 8350 is OUT, at least here in NorCal (played with one in my local VZW store, it was on display).

Personally, I didn't care for the shade of red used, it was pretty dark/burgundy. Too conservative. 😛

It also has the Version 2 firmware on it... don't know what's different about that over Verision 1, though. There was nothing obviously different in the menus, but I didn't look very hard.

Question about ringtones

Hello,

I'm considering getting one of these phones as an upgrade for my ancient VX6000, and because Verizon is bugging me to upgrade.. So I looked online at the list of available phones and this is the most expensive one I can get for free lol.

Anyway, I want to get things right if I'm to upgrade, as I got my VX6000 simply by pointing at whatever looked good back then. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about its ringtones.

I usually dislike the standard ringtones, so I want to know if anyone has customized theirs in any way. What I hope for is easy support of your own custom MP3 files as ringtones, but failing that, is there any way to put one of your own songs on it as a ringtone? I know there's the vzwtones thing but it just...

Verizon every 2

Since due for a upgrade, I compared Verizon website and corporate stores price on certain phones I wanted to upgrade, and find that the every 2 is just a marketing gimmick, nothing less or more. Same phones which Verizon will
charge for example LG-8350 $79.00 after rebate is free in Walmart, minimal price in Best Buy,
and by independent dealers. So what I am saying
that if i would buy from indepenent,i will get a better price with or without every 2.

Bluetooth and 8350

Hey I am new to Verizon and wanted to ask a question. Why can I not send and recv pictures from another BT enabled device with this phone?? Is it not supported (per everything I have read it is supported)? Are there special drivers and things needed to accomplish this? Many thanks.

Hey Shock do you still love it?

I am thinking about getting 3 of them to replace every phone on the family plan...to replace an 8100 a 6100 and a 3300. The 3300 is mom-in-laws and will prolly want that reactivated anyway leaving a spare 8350 for backup. Not to mention the 8100 that I have come to love.

Problem Transferring Music in USB Storage Mode

I bought a USB cable off of eBay so I could try out the USB Storage Mode of the VX-8350. I also purchased a 4gb sandisk card. I put the card in and initialized it in the phone. Next, I connected the cable to my powered USB hub which connects to my iMac. A new disk showed up on the desktop called NO NAME. Opening it up I could see the folders for the phone sounds, mucic, video, etc. I exported some files from iTunes and moved them over to the my_music folder. No problems. After "ejecting" the phone drive and exiting USB Storage mode, I was able to play my music with out problems on the phone!!!

Here's the problem. When I tried to repeat the process to add more songs to the my_music folder, my iMac said that the folder was read only...

Strange stuff

My wife and I both got the 8350 about 2 weeks ago. We've notice some strange things, including-

1. Certain entries, especially #2, in the speed dial list disappear for not apparent reason.

2. Bluetooth connections drop in and out randomly for no reason.

3. No matter which headset (Jawbone, Jabra, Plantroics) I use, people still complain about the voice quality. I never had this issue with the 8300.

If these things were not happening to both phones, I'd chalk it up to a bad phone, but with both, seems odd.

Anyone else experiencing this things?

Thanks, Scott
