Moto Q Global locking up

I've had my Q since November. The first one I got I had to replace after a few days.

Just this week my Q has been locking up. I think this usually happens when I have had it connected to my pc. when I say locking up, I mean that I can't get the phone to "wake up" I try any button and the screen stays dark. The only way I have been able to recover is by removing the battery and replacing it.

Today the phone has locked up on me twice in about 4 hours.

I just synced my phone with my pc, and was attempting to lok up some info after the sync was complete. As I picked up the phone, I saw the screen begin to fade to black. Kinda like it was adjusting to light...but then it kept going darker and darker until it blacked out. Pressing ...

Changing Windows Live Account Info (password)

I have the Motorola Q Global/Q9h with AT&T - in need of assistance ...

My Windows Live mail no longer gets messages - When I go to Messaging -> Windows Live -> then Menu -> Send/Receive it finally comes back after 3-4 mins and says "Failed to synchronize the folder list. The server didn't respond."

Others I have heard from have a Windows Live option under Start menu - I don't. Just looking for ways to modify/delete account info. There are no options to modify account (other than message preview size and whether to send messages immediately) and the option to delete account is grayed out. Or is there specific Windows Live sw to install on device?

So, I am kinda stuck with what I have unless I end up doing some kind of reset.

The HOW TO for Nintendo on your Q --->

IMPORTANT NOTES:
All of the ROMS when you download the RAR file will not fit on your phone. You will need to install them on your memory card if you want all of them on your phone. I just picked like 10 games I liked to play.
IT IS ILLEGAL TO KEEP ROMS ON YOUR COMPUTER THAT YOU NEVER BOUGHT WHEN YOU HAD A NES! I am not responsible for you downloading and playing games illegally. That’s why I am providing this info as educational ONLY! =)

1. Make a folder on your desktop called Q Docs
2. Inside Q Docs make a folder called ROMS and make a folder on your DESKTOP called ALL ROMS.
3. Download the files here:
892 Nintendo Roms – http://rapidshare.com/files/67676510/Roms.rar .html (Extract to the ALL ROMS folder on y...

AvtiveSYnc using USB cable, email inbox

A friend just told me that with the new WM 6 and ActiveSync, you can no longer use USB to sync your Outlook Exchange Inbox email to your phone anymore. You can still do that for Contacts and Calendar, but not the email Inbox. WM 6 is trying to emulate Blackberry, to allow over the air syncing of email only.

Anyone knows if this is true? I don't use data plan because I only get personal emails a couple of times a day, plus I can't carry my cell phone half the day because of the work I do, no point to get a blackberry PUSH email plan.

USB charge cable

I have reviewed the pertinent posts on this subject and am still not clear whether the included USB data cable is also a charge cable.

Someone mentioned that they were having trouble getting a full charge using a different USB charge cable (non-OEM?), and another recommended using the AC charger instead. That leads me to believe the answer to my question is no.

But the USB data cable that accompanied my previous Motorola SmartPhone (MPx-220)(not a micro USB port, incidentally) was also a very efficient charger, and I'd be surprised if we have actually moved away in the past few years from dual function data/charge cables. Is there something unique about the micro USB connection that does not permit charging?

Can anyone help?

Rename phone for active sync

I just upgraded to this phone and like it so far. I don't see where I can rename my phone so that when I sync with windows activesync on my desktop it will read the way the name as I want it to. For example right now the sync folder on my desktop reads WM_name MY Documents and I would like it to read MOTO Q My Documents and I recall this a very easy thing to do on the HTC 8125 but this one is harder or you can't do it ! Any help is great !

Thanks

BBC Issues

Since installing BBC for the Moto Q, I have experienced the following:

1) Weblinks in emails from the BBC email account cannot be activated to view in the Opera browser.
2) Occasionally, when switching or migrating to a new webpage, the device shuts down and reboots.
3) Unable to send pictures as attachments in email.

Remedies to date:
1) Master Reset - did not work
2) Master Clear and reinstall BBC client.

1) was suggested by Motorola
2) was suggested by AT&T

Neither remedy worked. Called Motorola who blamed it on ATT&T and RIM even though their suggestion was to uninstall the client and wait for them to fix it. The support person said the above issues were known issues. Ironic since Moto seems to be blaming AT&T and RIM.

Slingbox works right?

Can anyone confirm that the slingbox works with this phone, and you can connect and watch TV on it?

Also, how is the picture quality? Obviously it's not outstanding since it's on a tiny screen, but I have seen the slingbox on the palm treo screen and it looked good enough for me!

thanks!

GooSync

I added this to my Q9h and really like it so I thought I'd pass it along to other users. It is free bidirectional calendar and contact syncing.

It uses the native calendar and contacts on the Q9h which I like, nothing new to install.

Check it out at http://goosync.com

GPS included in data plan? Price?

Am nearing the end of my 30 day trial with a BB Pearl, and planning on switching to either the Curve or this phone. Part of reason decided to switch is for built in GPS.

Question about the data plans: BB is $30/month, and the data plan for this phone is $40 as I understand it. By chance does that include the GPS service or is it still $10 addl like with the BB packages? Looking for a way to justify this, but price is already higher than the Curve, so if the data + GPS is also more, looks like may stick with the BB.

Thanks for any/all input, Geoff.

Horrible Battery Life?

Just got the Q9h a couple days ago. I bought it used from the bay. It only came with an extended battery and micro-mini adapter. I charged it with my computer via mini-usb cable until it said the battery was full. It lasted just under 12 hours with light use. ~5 emails (no attachments) ~5 text messages ~20min of GPS use ~15min of 3G internet use ~25min Talk time

Any ideas?

Xpress Mail? - Can anyone clarify this Prgm? & Battery Life Impact on the Q9?

Hello Experts,
I am a new forum member and about to buy a Moto Q9h this weekend; I am having a hard time understanding exactly the benefits of Xpress mail. I run a small office with one desktop PC (no Window Exchange Server); I have one POP 3 business email account & a hotmail email account.

My understanding is it Xpress Mail a type of "poor man's" Enterprise Server; e.g. it provides real-time active sync over the internet for my business POP 3 Email account and will sync all Outlook folders (Inbox, Sent, & Delete) as well as sync Outlook Contact, Calendar, & Tasks. When you change something on the Q it is changed on your PC with in a few minutes, and visa versa.

Q: is this accurate? - Real-time sync of all items with out a corporate...
