Motorola Emblem

Has anyone pulled off the Motorola emblem on the earpiece?
Just wondering if it’s just stuck on or what? What’s behind it, earpiece screen, a hole, etc?
Would pulling it off make the earpiece louder?

No More Edge Please

Could someone explain how to stop my Moto Global from constantly switching off 3g network to edge network? This is a serious problem as it more or less ruins the ability to use the data aspects of the phone. I supposedly live in a very rich 3g area (Orlando) but this is a very annoying issue for me. Anyone know how to force 3g only?

thanks......

How do you close apps and not "kill" them?

Maybe I am having a stupid moment here but I can't seem to fully close applications without going to task manager and killing them. The manual simply says press the red key or choose exit. Very often I go to task manager to find the application still running. If someone knows something I don't please enlighten me.

Battery Life is almsot nothing, its it me or the Q

I have had the phone for almost a week now. I am getting really bad battery life.

Extended battery is in.

Worst day has been 6 hours of use. This was intense use with IM logged in and mail polling every 30 min. I know i was really hammering it.

Today I used bluetooth on the way to work maybe 20-30 min of use. I am half way through the day and have half my battery life left. At this pace i am still going to have to charge it as soon as i get home.

Is anyone else having this poor of battery life? Do i need to just use it as a phone and nothing else to extend the battery? And then whats the point of that, the iphone seems to get better batt life, but I was looking for windows mobile 6 to run the stuff i like to run and the full buil...

NO SOUNDS while CHARGING ?!?

Hello,

first of all, I wanna apologize for my bad English ;)

Well, I made this crazy experience: Then I charge my Q9h (with the AC-Charger, not via USB) it doesn't play any remember-sounds and most notably no WAKEUP-ALERTS. And this is of course particular annoying because I (and I guess most of the Q9h-users) charge my device at night and set up the wakeup-alert... but exactly this alert isn't played!!

Does anyone know a way out of this dilemma?

Thanks!!

GPS w/Google Maps & Microsoft Live

Has anyone else experienced the long delays to gain access to the GPS functionality on the Moto Q9h with these two programs? It seems it takes two to three minutes for the program to come back and say it can not communicate to the GPS immediate driver. Then you try it again and it works flawlessly. Is there a way to get it to work right away the first time?

Moto Q 9h Dilemna

I have already decided I am getting the 9h. So much so that I switched from Verizon to AT&T in anticipation of it (I had just signed up with Verizon and switched at the end of the 30-day trial). Unfortunately, my 30-day trial with AT&T ends on the 19th (already including a 7-day extension). According to AT&T, if I don't switch phones by then I am either stuck with my old phone or have to pay the penalty to upgrade (something like $175 + cost of new phone). No way am I going with either of those options. They refuse to allow me to order the phone before it's available or any other option, for that matter, short of cancelling my service and giving up my phone number. At this point I would rather give up my number than pay a $175 fine or be stu...

I'm keeping my Q9h

Had my Q9h for about a week now, previously I used a Cingular 2125 (HTC).
Overall I am glad that I purchased this phone, based on side by side comparisons that others had done on the internet This phone is being rated higher then my other choice, the Samsung Blackjack II.

Pros:
Sharp Screen
GPS works very well if you stand still in the open to get a lock, after it is locked on, you can use it in a car or even a building without it loosing a signal. (Google Maps)
Keyboard is great.
Size of phone is not a problem for me, I don't have huge hands.
Rubberized feel is nice.
Works fine carrying it in my pocket.
Speaker and headphone adapter work great.
Menus and App Initialization are faster then the 2125.
Phone reception is very good,...

Data Roaming in Europe

It looks to me like the Q9h does not support UMTS/HSDPA on the frequency used in Europe.

Does anyone have any experience with using this phone for data access in Europe on the EDGE network?

Moto Q as modem?

I am coming from a Palm Treo 680 that i recently lost (ripping my hair out) 👿
I am trying to figure out if the Moto Q Global from At&t will give me this option using the USB? For the treo i went online and found some private seller who makes a product with a one time cost, you download the software and you can use the internet on your laptop (while connected to the phone). Are there any programs available like this? I do recognize i pay a cost with Att each month.

Thanks for the help...

Hardware failure/modem tethering

Every time I attempt to use my Q9 as a tethered modem, my cpu tells me there has been a hardware failure in the modem. My device manager recognizes it properly as a modem, and it is present in my modem list, but to this day I have not been able to determine how to fix the problem. I have tried resets, task manager, usb profile, etc.

Does anyone know the solution to this problem? If there is a thread on this already, can I be given it's URL? I don't feel like digging.
